Saw this at another site. If Julian McMahon would agree to it, I would *so* love to see *this* rather than a reboot!

Wow, that sounds amazing! I would definitely go for that! Though my heart still aches that Phoebe and Coop are the two together instead of Phoebe and Cole. I love Coop, but he and Phoebe were just pushed together. Perhaps he could have a few episodes where he goes back into time, and tries to prevent Phoebe and Coop from being together. Perhaps he somehow alters time in a few episodes. I could see lots of ideas from this!

First of all, I don't mind the idea of Cole with a spin-off, considering he is my favorite character on the show.
However . . . Cole is not Angel the Vampire. And I thank God for that! I never bought this crap that vampires or demons lacked souls . . . an idea started by Joss Whedon. I find it irrelevant, considering that vampires and demons in Buffyverse and on "CHARMED" proved to be more than capable of being individuals. To lack a soul, one must be a zombie. Vampires and demons don't strike me as being zombies. Ergo, they have souls, as far as I'm concerned.
And as you all know, I've written a series of Alternate Universe stories in which Cole ends up falling in love with a powerful witch, who is not a Halliwell.

And as you all know, I've written a series of Alternate Universe stories in which Cole ends up falling in love with a powerful witch, who is not a Halliwell. I agree. Cole definitely had a soul as did all of the other demons. Cole was simply half-demon/half-human. He had all of the good of a human inside of him plus all of the bad of a demon which made him wrestle with himself. I'd love to see a Cole spin-off but I'm not sure he'd be interested in it since he had himself written out of Charmed to do other stuff. It would be definitely more interesting. I think a spin-off could open the doors for him to come across some of the kids when they are older- say TCO age. Perhaps he sees one of Phoebe's girls but see's himself driving him obsessed with capturing her since Phoebe was his vice. It drove his human-half insane as well as presented problem for him in the demon world as well. I don't think this could be a whole series thing but maybe like a 3-4 episode arc and perhaps give each sister a small arc starring one of their children. Maybe a today Wyatt, Chris or Melinda (I think Melinda makes the most sense as only a child-version of her showed up on screen long enough to telekinetically close a door). It would be interesting to see Cole kidnap a powerless Henry jr of Paige and Henry and then see the part where the kids (grown up) save him except since its all about Cole you only see his mini-plan foiled. Or he plans to kill them. Perhaps he reveals the next set of Charmed ones or he reveals that the Halliwell's are no longer in the Charmed business but still have power. I think it would make sense he'd still know stuff and use it to his advantage. I don't think he'd give him but I do think he'd try to convince himself. I think he'd also try to kill Coop once or twice which would make for a fun guest-star episode. I think it would have so much potential to feel Charmed. It would also mean... do we get to see the demon mother who abandoned him? Who raised him? Do we get to see that demon school that the pyro kid almost got sent to? I think with all the obsession he did have for the Halliwell's there should be some connection, even if small. It should be spread out too. Something he goes back to. I forever think of Julian as Cole. I'd watch a series all about Cole.

I gave up on that human=good/demon=evil crap a long time ago. That seems like morality for eight year-olds to me. Even Whedon never succumbed to such simple-minded morality on his show. And even "CHARMED" has featured some very evil human beings and a few decent demons/warlocks or whatever on the show.

Charmed spin of with Cole like Angel from Buffy. Imo would have been even more popular than Charmed. The same way The Originals did to Vampire Diaries.
The show would allow him to grow on his own. Away from the Charmed Ones. He would not be bound by stupid "Cole is evil" rule from Charmed S5-8. Pair him with some interesting characters. And at the time a show like this would have been a hit.

This would be my dream for a Cole Turner's spinoff.
After Cole helps defeat the Source, he realises he has to reassess his beliefs and his life now that he wants to become a reformed demon, however he believes that in order to do this, he can't be in a relationship with Phoebe and they temporarily go on a break so that he can find himself again.
The miniseries would start with him in his apartment with the lease coming to an end, him packing everything into boxes and taking them to a storage unit, and putting the spare key into the mailbox at the Manor, so if Phoebe needed more magic supplies or more information about demons and Cole's interaction with them in the diaries he had kept over the years, leaving her a letter stating that he will return promising to be a better man for her.
Phoebe decides to use this time to go back to school and study Psychology and becoming more excited about witchcraft instead of idling waiting for Cole's return.
Cole travels to Salem and receives help by one of sister's ancestors unbeknownst to him, who, in spirit, teaches him how he can use his powers for good and what he would need to do in order to remain good, and tells him that even though his powers did come from evil and was raised by evil, it doesn't mean that he needs to remain evil, he can always change his future but in order to do that he needs to acknowledge the past and try to make amends.
This is a difficult journey for him but it's something that he needs to do, the last episode is of him thanking the sister's ancestor and going back to the Manor, where he is a better man and as a surprise, he summons the spirit who helped him along his journey, who is Melinda's daughter, Prudence Warren.
(I know it isn't something a lot of people want to see but this is something I would love to watch).

Although most people here prefer Cole hadn't returned in season 5 this is my spin-off of that if he'd had obviously.
After 'Witch Way Now' Phoebe leaves San Francisco for a month doing some soul-searching trying to process what happened which unfortunately doesn't help.
She returns in 'A Witches Tail' as Cole's broken out of the Demonic Wasteland.
Words are exchanged and the plot follows like the original with Phoebe wanting a divorce and Cole, not of course.
Helping Miley and talking with her makes Cole and Phoebe realize that their relationship was toxic from the start meaning they never should've gotten together and that what happened later wasn't just one person's fault but both through their actions so the two go their separate ways and part amicably overall.
Cole also learns bettering himself and helping people entails doing that for him and not Phoebe alone.
He leaves San Francisco transferring to a different law firm whilst Phoebe goes on a sabbatical from the Bay Mirror becoming the full-time witch relearning her love for the craft and love for herself whilst Paige becomes a social worker.
Reforming as a DA Cole secretly helps people like Marvel's Daredevil without the superhero, persona threw in.
Cole makes friends at the law firm but his past never runs away from him so there are various evils like former members of the Brotherhood the man has to deal with along with others wanting to turn him back as Ares did with Xena of course.
In time Cole meets someone else and the relationship's different having learned from his mistake with Phoebe.
Both meet years later and converse about how their lives have changed since.

Arguably the most interesting of the spin-off ideas. I like the idea of putting together Cole (a demon), a rogue whitelighter, a reformed warlock and a witch. Perhaps in the years after Charmed, the lines between good and evil have become more blurred, the Elders no longer wield the kind of power they once had and the Underworld is still in complete disarray.
Perhaps there was an all-out war that the series alludes to from the beginning. Think the Time War in Doctor Who. In the final days, the Elders got desperate and brought back beings who they believed would help them turn the tide in the war. Cole was one of those beings. The war ended with the Elders practically being decimated.

There was also that missing storyline with Cole's father's soul that Raynor had?
Phoebe also had that premonition about Cole's mother killing Cole's human father.
I feel like that storyline would have continued had Prue not died etc.

I could see a Cole spinoff with maybe his journey for redemption or something.

That was my spin-off idea featuring Cole that he and Phoebe divorced in season 5 parting in amicable terms with him moving to another state and working in another law firm office the current one he worked for owned and him using his powers from the Wasteland to help people redeeming himself of course.
