If you could make 3 changes....

Saw this at another site and decided to bring it here. I'm not going to put in my own - you guys can probably guess what they would be, and I'm curious to see what you think.

-Make Phoebe half-demon. Patty got around and it'd make more sense than the Nexus/predisposed to evil crap. If it were me writing the show, THAT would be why her powers were passive; they'd have to be so she could remai on the side of good/make her worthy of being the Queen.

-Season 4 as the last season, with The RED Source as the big bad.

-If the show continued as normal, a BIG NO to Piper's brats --except for Melinda. Melinda time traveling and being a whitelighter-witch with TK would be much cooler than stupid Chris (who I'm convinced was supposed to be Phoebe's).

Paige's white lighter powers - she'd never develop all of them. Instead Paige would have witch based powers influenced by telekinesis. Telekinetic orbing, orbing, and then one other power in season 6. No charges or anything. Her job at Social Services offered many plot devices that her annoying charges couldn't do. Two:

I'm in agreement with the no children bit. No children. Ever. Maybe in the last season, where Piper can give birth in the final episode. I'd love to see her pregnancy on screen EXCEPT none of that twined blessed mess. God no. Just an ordinary witch half white lighter baby.

Three:

Long Live the Queen would be Cole's last appearance. They dragged him out so long his character became repetitive.

3 things I'd change:

1. Tone down the police presence. Cause them dealing with police and having inspectors pop up was annoying.

2. Children not being a focus of the show. I think it would be okay if they did have children in the show (like if the actresses got pregnant as did happen), so long as they aren't like "super witches" or whatever like Wyatt was. Or having them time travel around. Also the time travelling children aspect was annoying cause it caused inconsistency, cause I remember in the earlier seasons they time travelled but the didn't have powers and stuff like that.

3. Keep Prue alive.

Natalie as their whitelighter. I loved her, and I could see them fighting and bickering a lot in the beginning and then getting to be much closer as the series wore on.

By the way, only picking three is really hard. I've got about ten more main things I'd change, but these are the most important/things I'd want to see the most.

1: No babies because babies kill TV shows. Giving them a child is a lazy plot creator, they should've been a bit more imaginative. 2: Extend the Source/Cole/Queen Phoebe story into season 5. But clearly this was too imaginative and would've required too much creativity from Mr. Kern. It's a shame because a lot of shows are cancelled before having enough time to do much, Charmed was given 8 years to expand and develop and wasted huge portions of it with repetitive/uninspiring garbage.

3: Probably had the sisters able to see Prue around season seven-ish and made some kind of story arc about how it happened and Prue being involved in some multi-episode story.

This is tough!! Here are mine, however:

1) Cole's last appearance would have been in Long Live The Queen.

2) The Crone would NOT have died, and she would be the main evil for season 5.

3) Season 6 would be season 7, with no kids. This would involve Phoebe ending up with Drake, as well. Then the show would end..

Ours are a lot alike! UGH The Crone.. I wish she would do some of the comicon conventions and stuff like that haha. She was a main character in "Big Love" which also starred Amanda Seyfried, I really should give it a watch!

The more I sit and stew about the Crone, the more it makes me mad. Why couldn't she have been the big evil that was going to turn Wyatt? UGH. Instead of all these stupid demons that they killed in a second three times an episode, it should have been someone as bad as the Crone! Love her.

Mine:

1. No children..Charmed revolved around Wyatt too much and lost focus on the sisters as a result. Save all that for the last episodes.
2. The way the series ended. It was too sickly sweet, everything tied up nicely and all the sisters married off and living happily ever after. They had to go through so much, and I thought it was slightly unrealistic with the fairy-tale ending.
3. Cole surviving.. Ok, if he and Phoebe do in fact go their separate ways then don't make it so petty and hateful.

1.) NO BRAD KERN!! Connie Burge would have stayed on the show till the end
2.) Prue would have stayed alive and AHBL would have never existed
3.) The show would have ended at "Something Wicca This Way Goes" or "Witch Way Now?"

I thought they and Leo were much more interesting and believable when they were more mysterious. The more we found out about them, the more silly they got.

These are mostly early season changes, but that's because the later seasons are hardly worth mentioning, in my opinion.

Finally, mine - see if you guessed them - bet you did!

Lemme see.

One:

Prue doesn't die. Due to that, the show doesn't last more than four seasons.

Two:

Whitelighters, the Elders and demons (except for the Demons of...) don't exist.

Three - the most important one:

Charmed is originally on TNT or Lifetime or Scifi Channel or HBO or...or...or, well, anything but The WB, UPN or The CW! That would take care of the Brad Kern problem, since he was their hatchet man.

1 i would of not been so stupid to let (on pipers en leo wedding day) the fans see such a silly mistake by prue and the guy on the bike driving away just like that out of the door...

if you know the manor, that somethings thats actually impossible because in front of the door you got stairs....

so fail @ that.... so i would change that and let the scene be something else other than something happening thats not even possible if you look at the facts

2 the relationship between Phoebe and cole would of just worked out fine, with no stupid source messing it all up!

cole and Phoebe were perfect for each other. thats definitely something i would want to change

 and 3...

not the endless drama between piper and leo

i mean sure, some drama is okay but in the end, it made no sense anymore really

like give us drama around the other sisters, not just piper....

so i would of changed things around that as well

The stairs were to the side of the foyer, and I think the wedding was held in the room with the double doors, near to the base of the stairs. It was open plan so plenty of space.

i have no idea what you are talking about haha

prue and the guy drove out going through the front door

we all know that if you look at the porch  of the manor, right down there , there is a stairs

and if you go to the left you got grass and on the right, you see the drive way with a car

if you look at those facts^ it wouldnt been even possible for that motor bike to drive off like it happend in that episode, as we have seen it

of course it happend like that because they filmed it in the studios where things are a little different

if they had filmed it within the actuall manor, the scene could of not been like that because it would of been impossible for the bike to go the left like that, with solid ground underneath the motor bike

First, please don't center your posts - it makes them very hard to read. Thanks.

Next, in order to make Cole perfect for Phoebe, you would have to make him not half-demon. As long as he was, she couldn't truly love him. Or better, have her never find out that he's a demon - her sisters not finding out until after the end of Season Three (when she's the one who dies rather than Prue)

And she could never be perfect for him unless she could accept the fact that he's more demon than mortal (having been raised by his demonic mother and have been a mercenary assassin for almost a 100 years) and love the demon as much as she loved the lawyer.

Do that and you wouldn't have the same show, but you would have it where they were perfect with each other - the only way they would be, even without the Source.

The same way where you'd have to take away Leo's wings in order to make him perfect for Piper or Piper perfect for him, since he seemed to enjoy being a whimp that she could walk all over, unlike Cole who hated it, the reason he could never be perfect for Phoebe.

Phoebe and Cole were never meant to be perfect for each other - if they were, there would be no drama. 

Just like Leo and Piper.

For both couples, I would've just given them one season - Leo and Piper in Season One and Phoebe and Cole in Season Three. THAT's when they were perfect for each other - before they discovered each others' flaws - which is what new love is all about. Had both guys been gotten rid of at the end of their season as Connie Burge originally wanted, both couples would be perfect. When Leo left Piper at the end of "Love Hurts" he never should've come back. When Phoebe went down in the Underworld at the end of Season Three, he (rather than Prue) should've died trying to protect Phoebe. Then both couples would've been perfect. But the way both women treated their guy in the following seasons shows how very imperfect they were for each other.

I agree that the Nexus is utter crap. By why does Phoebe have to be half-demon? Is this some attempt to explain her penchant for evil? What about the others' penchant for evil? Do they have to be half-demonic as well? And why? Human beings are just as evil.


For both couples, I would've just given them one season - Leo and Piper in Season One and Phoebe and Cole in Season Three. THAT's when they were perfect for each other - before they discovered each others' flaws - which is what new love is all about.

Is that your idea of romance on this show? One season of new love, and then once the flaws are detected, break them up? Is that it? Was this Connie Burge's idea? If so, does this woman have any idea on how to really write romance into stories? Or is she simply anti-male?

I liked that couples were flawed, otherwise their relationship would be too..for want of a better word..lovey dovey. Short, sweet and that's it. For one you can relate with them, and it makes you support them more, willing the relationship to survive.

That would be fine if finding the flaws made the sisters better people, but it didn't - it made them worse people. That's not my idea of romance. I couldn't root for their relationships to continue if it made me dislike/hate the stars, which is what ended up happening when the sister was in love.

I'm particularly thinking Leo and Cole just because they were so very wrong for Piper and Phoebe. Had they found someone who was right for them (Dan for Piper, Kyra for Phoebe) and found the flaws, but still be able to love each other for them (which neither sister could - both counted the fact that her husband wasn't human as a flaw, the reason both sister ruined her husband) and become better people, while also making their husband a better person that would be different.

1. Prue not dying I enjoy watching Shannon she is funny and does a very good job as Prue. Prue is my favourite Charmed One.

2. I am very disappointed with the way the writers wrote the Charmed Ones with no morals. None of them. It is disgusting total gutter! This makes me very sad that such an amazing show can make the Charmed Ones like this it is not befitting for who they are. It is off what networks will do to get ratings it is really sad. I am very furious at this. They have turned the Charmed Ones into the Tart Ones! When Charmed was on TV I actually thought why am I watching this smut but thankfully I got caught up in the rest of the storyline and continued watching the show. I still love the show but I DO NOT like this part of the show. The demons probably have more morals than they (Charmed Ones) do - very unhappy!
This is a quote from a movie which I can't remember the name of the movie "she's awfully cold around the heart" this describes the Charmed Ones I think in this department! If Charmed wasn't my favourite show I wouldn't give a rats but cause it is I really think this show deserves the best and having smut in the show degrades the show which makes me so sad.

3. Farting in the show, the reason I say this they had Leo burp to me what is the difference between a burp and a fart not much I say.

4. The Charmed Ones getting really drunk while they use the book of shadows. Either they are trying to find a spell and they are getting frustrated cause they cannot find it or they are making the spell in the kitchen and cause they are drunk they're having fun making it. The girls attempting to read a spell out loud drunk. Also cause the girls have been drinking one of the Charmed ones moons some poor soul as he/she is driving by or they moon the elders cause they have no respect for them.. One of the Charmed Ones moons someone from the attic window...... someone from the magic community sees one of them doing a moonie and they say is that one of the Charmed Ones mooning us........

Of course they wanted relationships - they just kept choosing the wrong guy. They had to. If they were perfect for each other, it would get boring - no drama.

3 things I would change.

1. Move Charmed to another network. The WB was undergoing a lot of changes in their executive department. They also started putting a bunch of demands on the show which is a reason why the show veered into the way it did. It was solid in ratings to at least be shopped around to get support that the WB wasn't giving the show.

2. No Cole

3. 5 season limit. I personally feel shows that surpass 4 or 5 seasons is way to much.
