Which season or seasons of Charmed was Phoebe your absolute favorite?

Absolutely S2!!! I hated her once she met Cole - it was the beginning of the change of her character from Phoebs, my favorite character on Charmed hands down, to PhoeME/Freebie, my least-favorite character, hands down.
Like my signature says, I loved when she loved magic and loved helping others more than loving to have sex.
My second-favorite is absolutely Season One, and that is just a tiny bit behind that one. She's just a bit more vulnerable in S2. Of course, the fact that my all-time favorite episode, "Morality Bites" is part of that season (her best acting, hands down) doesn't hurt.

I'm 100000% in agreement with you. I was thinking S2 when I read the subject line alone. She was learning more than in S1 and starting school and really seemed like she was getting her life on track. But, like you said, when she met Cole...it was the beginning of the end for my like of her.

It was hard to choose between seasons one and two! However like you guys say season two is probably one of the last times we see her positively evolve. I still liked her in season three but I would be more forgiving if that was only a temporary state (lasting from seasons three to four) rather than just the beginning of the end.

I think she was at her best in the first two seasons. Innocent and all, after that she was not herself anymore.

Season 2 for sure. She still had that spunky attitude of season 1 but was getting her life back together by going to school. Magic and innocents were also still important to her. Ever since Cole came onto the show, the Phoebe we saw in Season 1 and 2 is never seen again. Season 3 Phoebe seemed very down all the time!

Season 3 Phoebe always thought about herself and Cole and not much else.
I hate Halliwells in love.

Phoebe still thought about her sisters in season three too. In Bride and Gloom, she cares more about Prue being located than about Cole's safety.

The cons far outweigh the pros on Phoebe's character in season 3 though.

I give Phoebe credit for thinking about Prue during "The Bride and Gloom", but that was only after Prue was dead. The rest of the time it was Cole, Cole, Cole.

Season three was my first season, so - although I'll agree her character was better in the first two seasons - I still don't find her personality that bad in the third season.
"After Prue was dead"? Prue wasn't dead in Bride and Gloom. They just couldn't find her.

Season 3 Phoebe always thought about herself and Cole and not much else. I hate Halliwells in love. I totally agree with your last comment. The only time it is not applicable is with Prue and Andy, and perhaps Piper's early relationship with Leo. I always thought that the reason Phoebe was always cautious with love in the first two seasons was because she knew she would go kind of overboard with it, which is why cupid said she kept her heart closed off.

Nope, it's even true with Prue and Andy. Had Prue trusted Andy enough to tell him her secret a lot sooner, then I'd agree. But as is....

Prue was awful to Andy. Maybe it had something to with her not being sure about their relationship. Using her powers to push a cart making him flip over was immature on her part. Also what grown woman has sex and leaves at 5 am and tries to avoid it never happened? Especially if you love the person. She was just as tedious when it came to her love life. Don't even get me started on Jack. Her constant procrastinating on furthering their relationship was also immature. She should've been honest with him from the beginning instead if leading him on. Please

That's the only thing that I'll give Piper credit for - she never led Leo on. But then that was in Season One when although Phoebs was my favorite character, Piper & Leo was my favorite story.

I will bold my point: That's the only thing that I'll give Piper credit for - she never led Leo on. But then that was in Season One when although Phoebs was my favorite character, Piper & Leo was my favorite story.
Season Two was when she started emasculating Leo and I couldn't stand it. And what she did to Dan was even worse than what Prue did to Andy.

Oh oops. Anyway, since I haven't given my opinion to the initial thread topic yet, I'll just say that I'm in agreement with most people in that Phoebe's best season was definitely the second one.

Are you forgetting season two where she leads Dan and Leo on? She never led Dan on. She was conflicted in her feelings with both men. Dan represented a normal life that she always wanted and she was attracted to him. Leo wasn't in her life much at the point anyway and felt she needed to move on to get over him. She realized as the season went on that Leo was in fact the love of her life. She couldn't help the way her feelings would change. She never intended any of that happen or to hurt Dan. There's a huge difference in this scenario and what Prue did to Jack. Prue purposely led Jack on even knowing she didn't want him or get intimate. She used him for her own reason, whatever that was. At least Piper had the respect to tell Dan the truth.

Realize that after season 1 Leo wasn't going to be around anymore, say to herself she needs to move on, develop genuine feelings for Dan and take it from there? Whats wrong with that? I don't remember Piper ever doing anything physical to hurt Dan like Prue made Andy flip over a cart. I don't recall Piper sleeping with Dan like if he was nothing important to her other than a shameful 1 night stand like Prue did to Andy. I don't recall Piper ever using magic on Dan to get the truth out of him for a few seconds and then dump him without allowing him to recieve a proper explanation like Prue did to Andy. Also how Prue made Andy feel it was his fault that she broke up with him in the first place when she was the one with the problem.
