Didn't they have to use a stunt woman just for the back of her head in Cat House? But then I guess if they used the real Just Harried scene that would undeniably be her, whereas this can't actually be proven. Huh, crafty. Cool cover. Not one of my favourites, but it's nice. I think Seidman has drawn Piper better in the past, but it's okay. Like the set up though. Agreed. Prue is more recognizable than Piper is in this cover. It should be interesting to see what happens that leads to them having a cover like that, but I doubt we'll see a scene quite like that in the issue. It's funny that he wasn't expecting people to comment on the Prue likeness. Of course they were going to comment on the Prue likeness. It just begs for them to comment. And no, no one is going to be 100% convinced, especially since Pat admits to flat out lying about Cole earlier in the season, so the questions will keep coming until the season is over . . . and even then, they will come, unless Shannen makes a statement. And I don't really see why Shannen would make a statement saying that she refused them permission to use her likeness or even that she required them to pay a certain fee to use it and they refused. I don't know what the story is and they won't tell us, so people keep asking.

I don't think Shannen is going to mind. It's been more than a decade since all that happened, I think she's moved on.

Wow, they're actually going to bring up Paige's history with alcoholism? Well, I'll have to give the comics props for that. It's about time someone remembered that little detail about her past.

Yeah, the show really dropped the ball on that one. God forbid, it might have taken screen time away from PhoebME.

Like I've been saying, the comics honor the past much more than Kern ever did - even the past he himself came up with. And they honor the past; they don't dishonor it by using it inconsistently.

The one thing the Rex and Hannah Chronicles and the comics have in common, they pay careful attention to continuity.

Oh, I doubt if any fan would ever like everything that's done in anything - the only way that would happen is if that particular fan did all of the writing themselves, and then they might be one of very few who likes it, especially if the readers don't think the characters are anything like the ones on the show. But compared with the last four seasons of the show, Season Nine has it beat by far. And I may feel the same way about Season Ten once it's done - I just don't now, but then I'm not a Cole fan, especially the way he's been portrayed in Season Ten when he's the Gary Stu of this season, just like fans who aren't Prue-fans probably don't like the Mary Sue of that season.

That is true. You'll never like every single thing about a given series all the time. However, there are a few things about the comics that I absolutely despise (like what they did with Prue and Cole's characters, as well as simply Mystery Girl and the Brood of Brats existing) that make me prefer other continuations like Destined and Tim's R&H Chronicles. Still, I can't wait to see what they do with Paige's alcoholism. That was something I had always wanted to see on the show.

Yeah, I treated Cole with respect. I didn't toss him into some black hole, like the comics did. Like Rex and Hannah, Cole has left his evil past behind and is human once again. I wish I could have gotten him and Phoebe back together, but, alas, canon says she married Mr. Cardboard. However, I paired Cole and Kira up

Have to agree to disagree since although I definitely agree regarding Destined, but can't regarding Tim's Chronicles - those just aren't Rex and Hannah. He'd do so much better if he rewrote it with totally differnet names for the characters and took them out of the Charmed universe, because much like S4-8, the only thing the same between his characters and the ones on the show are the names.
But I'm definitely with you regarding Paige's alchohlism - I just don't know if I trust Pat Shand to do a good job with that - I would've prefer Paul Ruditis giving a try at that.

I have taken them out of the Charmed universe, sort of. As I have said, R&H now reside in Lovecraft Country. They will no longer have any interaction with the Charmed Ones.

Seeing as the Rex and Hannah from the show were a couple of two-dimensional cardboard cutouts with barely any backstory, I can't see that as a bad thing. I love what he did with the characters and how he fleshed them out. No, his series isn't to everyone's taste, but no series is.

Thanks Betty.
I should point out, again, that I've even picked up fans that have never seen Charmed. Pretty cool.

For his sake, I'm glad there's a few who do, since there's no love for it at fanfiction.net. I think it's because the way they turned from bad guys to a hero and heroine just wasn't very realistic. Charmed fans just can't see that happening. That's why I think he'd be smarter changing their names and taking them out of the Charmed universe and not constantly advertising them at Charmed sites. And I would've just continued to ignore it like most fans have if you didn't mention it.

Actually, Es, ever since I moved the R&H Chronicles into the Cthulhu Mythos section, they have gotten reviews (yep, all of them).
Maybe you're right, that I have no audience among Charmed fans. However, Lovecraft fans seem to feel differently.

Of course, if other fans want to try reading them and disagree with me (not counting the members of the site that Tim keeps advertising, of course) and want to say so, they're more than welcomed. I just don't think there will be very many.

Es, why are you talking like I'm not even here? And by the way, the fans I picked up are not from that other board that I "keep advertising", rather they came from the Alexander Palace Time Machine board (a board that is devoted to the Romanov Family and other European Royal Families). And Es, with respect, you do not get to decide what is and isn't Charmed. As far as I know, you have no connection to the production Charmed in any way. Now, you can have an opinion on what is or isn't Charmed. Now, if you say that, in your opinion, that my Rex and Hannah are not the ones from Charmed, that's fine. However, they way you say it, like it's a solid fact, I'm sorry, but you don't have that authority.
