I'm still wondering why Kyra (or any demon for that matter) would be the first person Prue would think to summon...but hey, it's good to see her. Everyone else in this series gets a second chance or more, so why shouldn't she? I like Prue dark. As she once said "We may not be murderers, but we're no angels either!" She was always the one with the most edge. Plus her attitude towards Kyra is pretty consistent with her view on demons. She came round...ish to Cole eventually but for the most part "Once a demon, always a demon" was her view and he had a soul, which can't be said for Kyra. That sounds interesting. I can only buy it as a volume with single stories in it. This may be then Vol. 6 or more. This'll be in Vol 2, which will most likely be out around November time. |

Oh, that's not quite right, p3nathan. I have another counting. Here in Europe, several single issues are together in one volume. I.e., my vol.1 covers issues #0-5 and so on. Hope that helps clarifying.  |

So good to finally see Kyra again I happily concur! Also, I'm guessing the y spelling has become the official one for her name at this point if only by attrition… And I'm probably late to recognizing this, but wow, Prue has gone dark. I have no problem with Kyra. The way her name is pronounced is 'Kheera' so yeah Kira looks closer. But in my native language, 'Kira' or 'Kheera' means a cucumber. As for Prue, I believed since she absorbed the Grimoire it's what's making her sisters sick when they interact or even think about her. But now it looks like it's more than that. But I'm curious how and why only Kyra would know what exactly Prue has become. Is she actually older than the Season 4 Seer and the Crone? Or because she knew about the Avatars, beings not even the Elders were aware existed? |

I'd forgotten that she had absorbed the Grimoire - when did that happen; Season 9 or 10? I'd have to go back and reread that issue. It definitely makes what's going on make more sense.
Like you, I wonder why she decided to bring back Kyra. Personally I think Pat is just writing his dream fanfic - bringing back all of his favorite characters, even if it doesn't make a lot of sense.
I'm much more curious to see what Paul Ruditis has happen during his "Season 9.5", but I still haven't succeeded in getting it.
By the way, having read the latest issue, it's clear to me that we won't get an alternate timeline and Piper and Leo will still live sappily ever after - that's obviously what is what's supposed to happen - any other future is horrible and must be changed.
I'm so not impressed with this season!

It happens in season 9 in the last issue. Prue absorbs both the Empyreal Sword and the Grimoire.
I recall both Pat and Paul’s mentioned in interviews that they really would like to write a next generation or something about the Charmed sons issue or comic series. But since CBS has the say even in comics too, that wasn’t possible. So that’s what I would call their dream fanfic. Though I can’t even call it a fanfic since CBS is the one who gives the approval and everything.
I’m loving both seasons. Light years better than what Kern did.
Also I really don’t see what the fuss is all about the 'Forever Charmed future is set in stone means Charmed is a mess and can’t be continued and is doomed'. With creativity and ofcourse magic even that destined future can be changed or destroyed. And weren’t we shown in season 4 that Angels of Destiny do have the power to change things? And also in season 8 Leo was actually destined to be dead so the Ultimate Battle can be won. But the Angel of Destiny changed that when the sisters suggested another solution.
I don’t see why Pat would purse this storyline if he wasn’t going to end up making sure that Forever Charmed future changed somehow.

Read that and tell me that the Forever Charmed future *isn’t* the one that they (or at least, CBS) want the Charmed Ones to have, not a better one that wouldn't include 3 kids for each sister and only Piper and Leo living sappily ever after.
Of course CBS wants that future to be true - it would be awful hard to sell DVDs if it wasn't...

Thoughts on "Haste Makes Wasteland" (WARNING- SPOILERS)
- So we start with what the preview showed, bringing Kyra back. Cool spell.
- Yeah I figured Tyler would have something to do with them getting to the wasteland.
- Still enjoying the Henry and Coop dynamic.
- Aw, Elise by Phoebe's hospital bed. Nice.
- Pat got Kyra/Charisma's voice down to a tee.
- Patty and Grams' first season 10 appearance. Cool.
- I see Aidel is as happy about the number of Charmed rugrats as I am!
- And already I want to strangle Grams!
Leo: "So this is my fault now?"
Grams: "Has there ever been a life threatening conflict that wasn't?"
Erm what? Is she freakin' serious? At least Leo didn't just stand there and take her B.S
- I quite like how Tyler is written this issue. I could end up finding him more interesting. Like his scenes with Henry and Coop.
- Ah Kyra back in her Seer costume. Figured Prue would make a deal with her. Interested to see what the spell has done.
- I just can't take the Belthazor statue seriously. Sorry, I can't.
- Paige's hair changes from red to dark brown part way through.
- Oops so half of Benji's soul is broken. Wonder if that's why he looks all spooky and weird on the cover for next issue.
A decent issue overall. Next issue sounds promising.

PS: Love the cover for the Barbas issue. I'm not really one who gets all that excited when Barbas comes back, but the cover looks great.

Even though I haven't gotten a chance to read the issue yet, I'm thankful for the spoilers  PS: Love the cover for the Barbas issue. I'm not really one who gets all that excited when Barbas comes back, but the cover looks great. All covers have been awesome so far. The Four Sisters Part One and Part Two covers are the ones I really want to see. Paige kind of has a track record of losing her charges so Barbas going after her and her charges would be interesting. Though I wonder why only Paige and not the other sisters? I wonder what Paige's deepest fear is now. Something to do with Henry? In season 5 it was her inferiority complex to Prue I think. And can Barbas even affect Prue now that she's something else? I really hope to see them interact. And perhaps Prue and Paige both vanquishing him permanently. |

I wonder can Barbas be vanquished permantely do you think since his powers are triggered by reading people's fears and as long as people fear things then he'll keep existing so to speak as he keeps popping up now and again or is that just because he's an upper level demon who's learned a few ways to avoid death permantely unless I'm wrong on both things then?

Well the first two times they just sent him back to purgatory, but in "Sympathy for the Demon" that was a straight up vanquish. The tribunal resurrected him in season 6 for the trial (which was pretty ridiculous actually, but they did it). So if he's back again, there should be a reason for it. Maybe Prue raising one demon opened a window or something.

That's a good theory. In season 6, Barbas also manipulated everyone to get resurrected. Is it possible that while Prue's causing the physical symptoms to her sisters, the visions of the doom and gloom future experienced by Piper and others are being caused by Barbas? He had the power to do the fear manipulation even while he was dead.

OOOO, I actually like that idea! If that's what's truly behind all of this, I might end up liking this storyline after all. At this point in time, I find it boring, just like I've found all of Season 10 boring. It's felt like a Cole-shipper's very badly-written fanfic.
But if it's something like that....

Okay so I wake up today and the first thing I see is Pat Shand’s Tweet with a link to a post on his Tumblr, telling us about Charmed next issue being leaked early(but that was corrected unfortunately before I can get my greedy hands on it  ) and also requesting Charmed Fans not to go crazy with questions about Shannen’s likeness. Here’s the link: patrickshand.tumblr.com/post/122998041788/attn-charmed-fansWas all confused about the bothering Pat with Shannen questions request(cause that's like almost a weekly habit of some fans) until I finally saw the full issue 12 cover:  At first glance didn’t notice anything off and then I got a closer look at the figure on the left who was staring at Piper  So I was right about the woman holding the book Piper from the teaser but wrong about that white glowing hand belonging to Prue. And now I’m going to try and wake myself up from this wonderful dream  Wonder what Shannen would think about this cause I'm pretty sure by now someone had shared this with her. But if we can see Prue's back in Cat House of Season 5 without any problems, I see nothing wrong with this picture  |

If you could clearly see her whole face, then I could see Shannen having an issue with this. But her face is mostly turned away, so I don't think she'll mind.

Didn't they have to use a stunt woman just for the back of her head in Cat House?
But then I guess if they used the real Just Harried scene that would undeniably be her, whereas this can't actually be proven. Huh, crafty.
Cool cover. Not one of my favourites, but it's nice. I think Seidman has drawn Piper better in the past, but it's okay. Like the set up though.
