Melinda Warren is my favourite character out of the whole Charmed series not the Charmed Ones cause she was the one who created the Book of shadows mind you I think if I was her I would of made that book more sadistic and put some more POWER behind that book so when the demons/evil tried to touch it, it did kick serious butt!

I love her too. It's too bad she didn't reappear. One episode wasn't enough. I'm very interested in seeing more of her story told.
Someone told me there are Charmed books that feature Melinda and her daughter Prudence.
I've listened to the Charmed podcast featuring Tyler and heard they asked her back multiple times. I couldn't help but wonder which ones. Tyler has such good chemistry with the ladies. She told Holly and the others that the four of them were all crying while shooting the last scene and all turned to the crew yelling "We want her back." Tyler said she would've come back but theater is her first love (so I respect her decision). I'm just so happy to hear that it was just scheduling preventing her return, and the cast and crew loved her. It's one of my favorite interviews from the podcast with a guest cast member.
She had great chemistry with Billy Wirth. They really are compelling. I'm so interested in more backstory on them. I'll have to keep hunting for more fanfics on them and Melinda.

I would imagine it wasn't for any specific aired episode. They would have written around the character but realized they had to scrap it because it didn't work in her schedule.
Maybe 2x01 would have been Melinda instead of Grams.
