I was just wondering Charmed had a vast universe (a very flawed one but let's pretend they don't exist) which got me to thinking of what kinds of spin-offs could have been made. For example I first wanted one of Cole roaming around and finding redemption but then I realized that it was too much like Angel. However my favourite idea (Although not mine I remember some people floating it around though) probably would be one of Emmanuelle Vaugier and the Gypsies from "The Eyes Have it." Except this time they would just be witches with Gypsies just being a group or a subculture within Wicca.
So what ideas would you have liked to see on the small screen? However no Chris and Wyatt spin-offs please since that has been done to death.

Just like the network I played around with the idea of Mermaids. Also, when I saw "Feats of Clay" it made me wonder how was the life of the Guardian. I mean, was she created solely for that purpose? Or had she lived before being tied to the Jar?

'Whitelighters', exploring Leo joining the army as a human, dying in WWII and then becoming a Whitelighter. Each season would jump about 5/10 years (Downton style) so we could explore his experiences right up to meeting the Charmed Ones, especially marrying his wife Lillian.
We could even get Rick, Nathan, Natalie and 60s Grams in there.

The Guardian of the Jar would be really interesting! It could have episodes set in different time periods and flashbacks to her previous life or how she was created.

Now that's an interesting idea! Although I dont think "Whitelighters" is the appropiate name if the series is just for Leo

Now that's an interesting idea! Although I dont think "Whitelighters" is the appropiate name if the series is just for Leo 'Whitelighter' then. But we'd need to have other central characters who were Whitelighters, and some Witches/Innocents.

I like both names, but as I said, "Whitelighters" is not appropiate if it's just for Leo. But hey, maybe if we had like 4 whitelighters and their charges, the Elders or whatever. They even could make episodes referring to Charmed like nod to the Titans, of that warlock in "Blinded by the Whitelighter", could be something kinda interesting. Still, I dont know how other people would like that

I must've been adding it right when you were adding your reply. Good timing

Mental Connection And I meant that why erase what I wrote? I mean, its just another idea. And well, the title of the thread is ideas so it's just a little extra to add to it. I'm gonna have to patiently wait for everyone else's ideas.

I wouldn't have minded knowing about Melinda Warren's life. Her childhood, finding out she's a witch and that the Charmed Ones saved her etc. What she did with her powers, creating the book of shadows, marrying having her daughter Prudence and it going right up to her execution and vision shr has of the P03 before she dies although this would be considered more a prequel than spin off.

Brilliant idea of a Melinda prequel. In fact, I would love if they did several 'prequels' X-Men: Origins-esque way. They would be standalone series as well. One 'season' would be more than enough for these individual stories because we would know 'the end' and wouldn't need several seasons. In addition to a Melinda/Prudence prequel, I'd love one about Leo, his joining the army with Rick and Nathan, his fighting alongside them (and Natalie), their deaths, his becoming a Whitelighter and his journey up until 1998 when he meets the Charmed Ones. Other ideas could include: the 1920s cousins growing up; Patty's marriage to Victor and affair with Sam or even Penny raising the girls alone, being engaged to her many fiances and trying to hid the magical world from them.

I love that idea! And as Deano said, it would only need one season! Or not, it could even be just a mini series, which would be just as fine

That's truly the spin-off I would like to see, much more than any next-generation one.
Another one would be Cole as an Avatar, going to different places in time and "fixing" them.
A third would be Kyra the Seer getting to be mortal.
A fourth would be Barbas, the Demon of Fear.
Even Prue as an Angel of Death.
A lot of these are based on fanfic series that I've read and would've loved to have seen on the screen. For a next-generation one, it has to be Lexi's "Progeny: Angels & Demons".

With the way the show ended, any kind of spinoff that focuses on the Halliwells or their immediate friends just wouldn't work anymore. We know too much about their future to make any kind of further continuation interesting or necessary. If you want a good spinoff, minor characters are the way to go. They're far out of the reach of that horrible flash-forward, and they're more likely to still have good stories left to tell. I recently discovered an amazing fanseries about two characters I never thought would be spinoff material: Rex Buckland and Hannah Webster. They were mere warlocks on the show, and this one guy took them and fleshed them out into deep characters with their own destiny and everything. I highly recommend it. Here's the first out of what is 31 episodes and counting: www.fanfiction.net/s/8813925/1/Rex-and-Hannah-Chronicles-Story-No-1-Visit-To-A-Lost-World.

Just found out why this newbie likes the Rex and Hannah Chronicles - one of the few people who do. This newbie *IS* Tim - the one who wrote them. Wow, you're denser than I thought. Apparently, you didn't see the first PM I sent you. And, no, far more than a "few people" like his stories. I know several people who aren't Charmed fans from an entirely different board that like his stories.
