I actually had no problems with the way Paige was introduced, the back-story with their mom and Sam really helped make it believable, considering all the changes the show was going through at the time I think the did the best they could. Also, I have no problem with magical hybrids, Paige's power is different to Prue's because her whitelighter side influences it, Chris' whitelighter side doesn't influence his telekinetic powers, and that's ok, every witch is different, their powers all work differently.

I agree with this. I never had a problem with Paige's powers, my only issue if anything is that I wish we would've seen them grow more throughout the show - I think introducing Paige with standard TK like Prue would've been boring - the show needed freshening up and it was fun with her Whitelighter side.

I would prefer Paige is discovered as their sister first before becoming an innocent. I would hint about Paige’s existence at the end of P3 H2O as the sisters are sorting out Sam's stuff, Paige Matthews name or picture keeps popping up. Thinking she meant something to Sam, Prue with Darryl’s help tries to investigate in a later episode of the season or perhaps even the next season. Coincidentally Paige is also looking for her birth family during that time. With the motive of finding more about Paige, Prue offers to help Paige and when they end up at the local church and run into Sister Agnes and Prue sees the baby blanket and hears about the angels bringing Paige and name starting with the P stuff, she obviously discovers the truth. But she understands the consequences if the Elders ever knew so she doesn’t tell anyone else, including her sisters. Paige of course at this point won't think much about angels or something since she won't have witnessed magic. So Prue let's her new half-sister stay clueless too. Finally when she becomes an innocent they have to protect does Paige discover magic. I would prefer the episode to be All Hell Breaks Loose episode where Paige is the innocent instead of Dr. Griffiths. It would make sense why Prue suddenly forgot using her powers to push the doctor out of Shax's way and why she was being so obsessively worried that Shax wasn’t vanquished, not to mention going out into the street to go vanquish Shax. Going to such insane length to protect an innocent bald doctor? Don't buy it. But if it was Paige, then yes. I guess having Paige as an innocent, not to mention hiding such a big secret from Paige, Piper and Phoebe and Elders too makes Prue so distracted and stressed enough to expose magic to the world. Though I'm not sure when Prue would drop the 'Paige is our sister' bombshell to all her sisters. Maybe she could tell Piper and Phoebe as a ghost before she moves on? Or even while her and Piper are about to die and they're in that awkward hovering above your body limbo land she could tell Piper. AND as she's about to go into more detail and whatnot, Leo starts healing Piper and...well...Yeah.One returns as the other passes on.

All the things we might have seen had Brad Kern handled Shannen Doherty's firing more professionally....well, at least according to Holly...

Another reason Prue could've kept Paige a secret from Piper and Phoebe intially and the latter from knowing about them and magic is because of the whole power of three thing and how introducing a fourth sister into to the family would screw the original three's powers which she could find out from Patty or Grams through a ghostly conversation she had with them in the attic when she queried if they knew her or not? And secondly because evil would come after Paige if they found out about her owing to the fact she could reconstitute the power of three if any of the sisters died and that she'd be vunerable not having any other powers except orbing then also.

I would have preferred it if Prue had found her I think, like in this fanfic edit..

I think around the time she was introduced was fine, maybe a little later. Perhaps with Prue still alive. I like the idea of her being a contact of Darryl's in social work still, that gives him another more meaningful tie to the sisters by indirectly bringing the 4th sister to them. Maybe she accidentally saves one of them somehow during a demon attack when she's at the manor. Like pushing out of the way of a energy ball or something and has one of her orbing in place while panicking moments that she was doing at the start. Then of course begins the search to discover her real identity with the help of the sisters. Though if Prue was alive they would have had to give her another basic witch power and I'm not sure what that could have been without making the power of four massively overpowered.
