By now I’m sure everyone must know about this. Or if they don’t, well now you know. So we've been teased about Prue/Cole happening in the comics. In issue 1 of Season 10, the demons observing Prue and Cole imply a possible romantic relationship between them. Comic writer Pat Shand hasn’t denied or confirmed anything. So naturally, people take that as a yes. Without spoiling anything for Charmed fans refusing to even blink at the comics for one excuse or the other about canon and fanon nonsense, Cole is still dead like we saw in Season 7 Seven Year Witch. Prue is….something else, but like Cole she’s also stuck in one place(quite possibly forever) with him being her only company. And the only man Phoebe is happily married with two kids to Coop. We know that Brad Kern was bringing in Paige/Cole relationship in Season 5. But all actresses were like NOOOOOOOOOOO as if Brad threw a vanquishing potion at them. So that never happened. So I’m just curious, to comic readers, non-comic readers and lurkers out there: -What are your feelings and thoughts on Prue/ Cole aka Prudence Crudence or Pole?
-Would it be better if Phoebe left her husband Coop for Cole and the whole Cole/Phoebe thing started again?
-Would it be better if Coop died?
-What are your feelings in general about your ex-crazy or non-crazy spouse/boyfriend and one of your sisters/siblings getting together? Would you be okay and mature and be happy for your sibling? Or would you go insane?
-Do I really have to come up with more questions to make you guys uncomfortable or are you guys gonna stop lurking and just answer the damn thread in the thread instead of the chatbox?

For me, it would be better if Cole was vanquished and Prue killed trying to save him and end up back in the Afterlife where she belongs. I really like the relationship between Phoebe and Coop that was set up during the comic's Season Nine - no way I want Cole to screw that up the way he screwed up Phoebe in Season 4. And much as I think that Prue and Cole would've been the better couple during S3-4, especially if it had been done differently since no way Prue would've used a potion to try to make Cole good and no way would she make him turn mortal, which is why the essence of the Source went into him (no one would be a better person with Cole during S5 unless Paige had put her social worker skills to use and it helped him to stop stalking Phoebe and instead he found out he was romancing the wrong sister...), due to the way S1-9 (especially S9) played out, no way I'd want ANY Halliwell/Matthews to become a Turner, unless they proved that Season Four and Season Five never happened! And if my sister was happily married and wanted to get back together with her crazy ex-husband, I'd tell her to GROW UP, and I'd tell my crazy ex-brother-in-law to GET LOST! Now if it was me who was happily married and my sister wanted to get together with my crazy ex-husband, I'd tell her, "HAVE YOU FLIPPED YOUR LID? ?" And I'd tell my ex-husband to GET LOST! Now both "The Seven Year Witch" and Season Nine have shown that Cole is no longer crazy. That's a totally different story. If my sister was happily married as Phoebe and Coop are shown to be [and as we know they have a daughter when PJ and Parker get older, we know that Coop *won't* die and Phoebe *won't* leave Coop for Cole - the problem with that @#@!@#$%#$%^$^%$ flashforward: - took away all of the drama!) and her ex-husband started chasing her, I'd STILL tell her to GROW UP and still tell her ex-husband to GET LOST! But if it was me who was happily married and my sister wanted to get together my ex-husband and it was obvious that they were truly in love and not obsessed as I was with my ex-husband, then I'd be very happy that they were going to be happy. But they're going to have to do a much better job showing that Prue and Cole really are in love and not just obsessed as Phoebe and Cole were.

I don't think Prue and Cole are necessarily romantic yet, but will become so during the Season 10 storyline (or Season 11 if one is on the books). As far as whether I like the relationship itself, I've expressed thoughts about that elsewhere on the forums, but I'll try to sum it up again if for no other reason than to see how consistent I am over time. If she would've ever taken to Cole back in the day, she would've been much better for him than Phoebe. It would be a harder process, because trust is something that has to be seriously earned with her, but once Cole got there he would be set. While most likely she would choose her sisters over him if it came down to life and death, as in, say, the time he became the Source, she'd be quicker to figure out if something was wrong with him and nip it in the bud if possible so it wouldn't come to that. She'd also be less likely to rush to either throw herself at him or condemn him based on her emotions, as she is very much about protecting her own and would take the fact that she's essentially rehabilitating a trained assassin seriously.
Phoebe leaving Coop or Coop dying and restarting the Phoebe/Cole drama? No, thank you. While I was a major fan of their relationship for a long time before I gained perspective on it years ago, and still look at it now with some fondness in terms of Cole's character development through seasons 3 and 4, there's no future left in that direction for him anymore. He has to progress from that and carve a new path, which I believe he has, and continue going down that path to attain his redemption. And Phoebe and Coop, it's taken me an equally long time plus the progression through the comics to see this as well, but they don't just have a destined future. They have a bond and a progression that's worth building into that future. It would be very much a step backwards for her too, in fact I'd wager it's as big a step backwards as Prue THOUGHT Phoebe took with Roger back at the time of the series opener!
As far as the other question, I don't see that happening simply because my brother and I are too different in certain ways (age included) and would most likely not attract and/or be attracted to the same women romantically. So this is the first I've ever really thought about what would happen if it did. And it really depends on whether I still considered the woman in question to be a good person after the end of our relationship. If she was a good person and it just didn't work between me and her I would definitely put my best foot forward to be okay and mature about it. But if she was a harridan who drove me through hell in our relationship, I'd probably be like, "No, dude, don't trust her," and putting up with them as a couple would be trouble enough that either she'd have to prove she changed or I probably would flip a lid at some point.

Seeing that my sis is like 10 years younger than me, her and a supposed ex-spouse happening would have to happen over my dead body Prue and Cole together offer something....new and refreshing. I like to see how exactly they'll grow close and all. And with the whole Cole being dead and Prue being....something else it would be very interesting. And even if I don't want to see this happening for a very very long time, dare I say, what will the children be? Nexus babies? The whole Piper/Leo thing their problems got so tiring on the show. And if Cole and Phoebe start up again...well I won't threaten to not read the comics because that's silly. But I will be disappointed. So I'm all excited for Prue and Cole. Really hope Coop doesn't die. Hope this preview cover of issue 5 is just teasing us and nothing else:

Since we know that Coop won't die until he and Phoebe have one more child and that PJ and Parker will be around the same age as Little Prue and Little Piper were in "That Seventies Episode" - and Parker is still just a baby - that BETTER NOT be Coop's headstone! If they were going to jump that far off canon, Wyatt and Chris should still be the only kids!
Maybe it will be Prue's or Cole's instead... *crosses fingers*

Oh yeah....unless Cole is glamoured into Coop in that flashforward...it maybe someone else. Darryl? Henry? Well Cole and Prue are already dead so they already have those headstones.

I was part of a group who used the idea of Coop actually being Cole in one of our fics - so if they did that, so that the child we see Phoebe having in the future is actually Cole's... Yeah, I think I could accept that. Be happy with it, no. I will never be happy with Phoebe ending up with Cole - they're as good for each other as Piper is for Leo, especially because I'm still certain that Phoebe's soul mate (not the same as true love...) is Anton, not Cole or Coop!

I always thought Prue and Cole would make a great couple: they always seemed to have great chemistry together, and Prue wouldn't try to change Cole the way Phoebe tried to. Plus Prue would probably be smart and mature enough for him: I always thought Phoebe acted a bit childishly when he was around. So I guess its obvious that I don't want Phoebe and Cole to get back together: Phoebe seems happy with Coop, so there's no reason to change and bring back the drama Phoebe and Cole had on the show. Once is enough. Plus I think that Phoebe has moved on.

With the dialogue Phoebe shared with Cole about moving on and everything, it pretty much looks like they've moved on.

The whole Cole being Coop thing may be fun in fanfics, but I don't want to see a repeat of it here. If they do an issue on past lives then I'm interested in seeing Anton again. Or if Anton really hasn't moved on and is hanging around like the Necromancer did, it would be interesting too.

Oh, MAN! I would LOVE to see the return of Anton in the comics!
The funny thing is before the comics - just counting Season Eight - I can truly see the Elders turning Cole into a cupid after he helped her find love again (even if thinking that the Elders would do that is one of the stupidest thing of the many stupid things they came up with during Season Eight) and then have him disguised (whatever it would be when the Elders did it to him) as Coop - Coop acted more like a demon than a cupid, just like the Elders acted more like demons and the demons acted more like angels and the Charmed Ones acted more like warlocks.
But with how they portray both Coop in the comics - no, I truly can't imagine that either - but as I said, if they did it, depending upon how they did it, I'd be okay with it.

Read the new issue and from what Cole asked Prue to do and if she agrees and succeeds, I wouldn't be surprised if Prue's reward is a bear hug from Cole

I have no problems with Prue eventually becoming involved with Cole. At least she is mature enough to have a relationship with him . . . unlike Phoebe.
Ugh! First of all, the idea of Cole becoming a cupid is just repulsive to me. The show's portrayal of Cupid (and in reality, love) is unrealistic, considering the chaotic nature of love in the first place. But this determination that Cole becomes completely human, a whitelighter or a cupid is simply ridiculous. He was (or is) half-human and half-demon. There is nothing wrong with that. I don't buy the show's belief that demons (or I should say "daemons") are all supposed to be portrayed as evil. Wiccans don't believe in all evil beings in the first place. And since the sisters are supposed to be Wiccans, why continue this morally infantile belief that certain beings are evil and certain beings are not?

I feel that this was supposed to happen in the original storyline.
Phoebe get's corrupted by evil (and maybe a baby).
Cole tries to stop her but fails and Prue and Cole spend a lot of time (just like in The G,B and Cursed) and get romantic with each other.
The chemistry was def there.
And remember that this was supposed to be the Season 4 or 5 storyline with Rose and Julian that the girls refused to play.
Makes sense because I just couldn't see Paige and Cole together. They were trying to force a Prue storyline onto Paige.

I agree that this is what we would've gotten had Shannen not been fired - probably part of the reason why Alyssa wanted her gone, since it would go back to making Shannen the star, not her.
I've heard that there was supposed to be a triangle during Season Four - starting when Cole kisses Prue (not Paige) thinking that she's Phoebe in 'Enter the Demon'. I wonder if that happened if it would've been Prue who would've ended up being the evil one with Phoebe playing Paige's role and her sisters thinking she's just jealous.
That could've been interesting.

I agree with both of you! Recently I got Photoshop again. After taking a break for many many years. Only now realized how out of my game I am, so much rusty! lol Anyway it was just there, so I decided to make a Prue & Cole wallpaper! Click the pic to enlarge it!

I can totally see that storyline playing out in season 4 or 5. But I think this might be how Alyssa got Shannen fired, I really don't think with the tension between the actors, and then with the sisters in a triangle was going to allow it to happen.
It would make one really great fanfic story. Which I would read with the triangle. But seeing Prue and Phoebe switch bodies would of been way cooler than Paige and Phoebe.
