I think the hardest for me was EPISODE TWELVE: none of these episodes I really like but Andy won me over in The Wendigo

Hell Hath No Fury is technically the 3rd episode of season 4 but if it really doesn't count, I'd say The Painted World.



Honestly, even I'm surprised at how many season 3 episodes are on my list. It's always been my favorite but still. I don't necessarily love all these episodes. Some of them won by default because I'd rather watch them than any of the corresponding episodes. And others, I could barely choose between them!



Full disclosure, I only looked at episode lists for seasons 1 - 5. I knew season 6 wouldn't have any picks and I haven't watched seasons 7 and 8 all the way through.

So I had some fun with this ;P (Or, maybe too much fun xD)

I did this a few different ways. The first way is much like how rebooted and Aaeiyn did it, the second way is another way I decided to display my picks with color coding in a table format, and the last way is how most structured their choices. But with this way for me, I used it to organize everything all together from the first two ways I did it. You’ll see what I mean from that later on in the post

However, rather than just do my “perfect” season, I will go from my “perfect” season to my “least perfect” season (LOL), based on whatever episodes are left by elimination at that point (unless I really just can’t stand the episode and it makes it to the “least perfect” season automatically because of that xD)

As of now, I’m going to take into consideration Seasons 1-3 ONLY. I have done a pretty extensive/detailed rewatch with these first three seasons, so I remember these episodes very well. Some things stick out really well with S4 for me, while others do not. Same for S5-S8. Because of that, I don’t think it’s fair of me to do this yet with the whole show in mind when my memory is hazier of the later seasons, and I don’t want to exclude anything from S4-S8 that I might actually really enjoy.

I am currently rewatching S5 again and will continue with S6-S8. I will probably pick up S4 with my own rewatch after I’m done with this, depending on where we’re at with the board rewatches with this season. Once I finish that, I will come back and update my answer with ALL seasons in mind. I do think this will be a LOT of fun when I get there, listing 8 seasons worth of what I consider “perfect” to “least perfect/worst” and see what episodes land where.

And I can do this with everything else that I did, too, because I typed up a lot of this in Google Docs... Let me tell you, I had this post open before and was attempting to format everything via Proboards, trying to make things line up properly and recreating the table from my Google Sheet… Oh my lord, it was taking forever. Now that I know how to get images in here, I have reduced probably near an hour’s (or more) work into like five minutes xD But anyway, thought you might enjoy this silly share ;P)

With this way I did it in a table format in Google Sheets with color coding my first, second, and third choices. I just liked seeing it this way visually, including the colors and comparing the seasons side by side.

So… Um… Can you tell just from the first and third way why this would have taken so long to type up in Proboards? xD Just taking a snip of each of these parts from my Google Doc/Sheet was SO much easier, and not to mention, more organized than what it was looking like when I was typing it up in my original post!

I’ve done a bit more analysis than that little snippet above with my results, but I’ll provide that later, when I have my thoughts organized more I will say, along with looking at these results, I also found some interesting relationships between episodes from looking at the seasons side by side that I’d like to share and think you may find interesting, too!

I like to present a similar challenge for everyone, as well. I'd like to challenge this board to do a S5-S8 list, since it's the (according to my own research) "most hated" seasons of all. I'd be interested in seeing which episodes are willing to be watched (not necessarily preferred), from those seasons.

I created my perfect S5-S8 list, earlier, but I'mma use Prue's Feather little color coding system, for it.
