I've scoured the net and book stores but I can't seem to find the comics for a reasonable price. I really want to read them, does anyone know if they are available for online viewing?

I live in Halifax, Canada (250,000~ pop) and it's pretty brutal haha.

Yeah i do think Amazon is your best bet. Having said that, any decent online book store you have access to could be worth a look. Trade paperbacks are far easier to get hold of and tend to work out cheaper than individual issues.
