When in season 4 knight to remember paige's past life came looking for the prince anyways piper phoebe followed her but do to being in a time before their powers. They weren't able to do anything but paige was able to. Tab into the enchantress'spowers so i'm wondering when prue piper and phoebe went to the past and saw themselves as little kids they couldn't use their powers because only one set can have them. So how was paige.able to and chris also went.into the past and was able.to keep his powers someone please help

If I remember correctly, Paige said that if she came close enough to her, she could use the enchantress' powers. Essentially she was fighting with herself. As for the sisters back in time, that was true that only one set could have their powers. And Chris must be an extraordinary example since his fetus self was not as powerful as baby Wyatt in their mother's womb. Therefore big Chris could have his powers and he died before he was born again.

That would be my explanation. Hope it was helpful.

I wonder if because Paige was the evil Enchantresses future life etc she was able to tap into her powers as they were both connected soul to soul 'cause when we die our souls are reborn whatever if you believe that of course unless I'm wrong that is.

With Chris unless he took something or did another spell before the time travelling one to keep his powers in the past or someone else did that then, then I'm not sure how he kept them afterwards.

I'm pretty sure Chris and Bianca said in Chris-Crossed that the specific spell they were using would let him keep his powers.

As for Paige, completely fan-w**king here, but it could be due to her being a future life. They're the same soul, but different lives, so different people. So I guess Paige being in that time allowed her to tap into those powers... notice there was no sign of her having her present life powers.

My explanation for Prue, Piper and Phoebe not being able to access their powers is because they didn't think to tap into the powers of their past selves, like Paige did. And, as somebody else stated, Chris and Bianca used a special spell to ensure they keep their powers before engaging with the past. That's how I choose to believe it, anyway.

I believe the general consensus is that the writers of Charmed never had any one set idea of how time travel worked, so it was different every time. Yes, Chris used a particular spell to keep his powers when he went to the past… which he got from the Book of Shadows, as I recall… Which leads to the obvious questions of who put it there, and when? Logically, it must have been one of the sisters, possibly after their little unplanned trip to the past in season 3. (I imagine the events of “Morality Bites” would have turned them off the very idea of time travel for a good long while, but that Halloween would have shown them that it could still happen, whether they wanted it to or not, so best to be prepared.) But they never used it themselves? Setting aside how I feel about the show using time travel as another way to remove all stakes - who cares if one or two of the sisters die, if the other(s) can just go back and prevent it? - if they had that kind of spell at their disposal, you’d better believe they would have made use of it. (I know I would have, in their shoes. Wouldn’t you, if it meant saving the lives of your siblings?) Prue would never have stayed dead if the others - Piper especially, given her state at the beginning of season 4 - could go back in time without needing to get help from Tempus.

Actually…

Speaking of “Morality Bites”, remember how the spell to send them back into their younger (i.e. present day) bodies was gone from the Book of Shadows in the future? Supposedly, it could only be used once. Maybe that’s the reason why that timeline’s Prue hadn’t been killed by Shax?
