An awesome storyline would have been if, at the end of season 7, Zankou used a dark ritual to bring Prue back from the dead but possessed by evil. Then she could have been the ultimate power for season 8 and the whole series could have ended with the sisters reunited and happy. If only. That could've been awesome.

I do find it interesting that Kern said that they never invited her back to the finale because it just would've been to expensive and cost them Grams/Patty/Chris/Wyatt and Shannen says that "they did and it was lousy" lol. I wish someone would ask her "what was the storyline they proposed to bring you back" because I need to know lol.
And as far as the comics...I get it, get your money but at the same time...sometimes you gotta let some things slide for the greater good like the other 3 have.

I guess Kern wanted nothing but a cameo in the finale, and Shannen turned it down, for exactly the same reasons she did for the 90210 finales when she was directing Charmed's S2 finale at the time. It not honoring the character, and it a small cameo that didn't do much.
Maybe they had Piper travel to the past, and see Prue in a cameo, and she wasn't going to actually be present in the rest of the story. I'd think she'd have agreed to return if they gave her more to do.
I'm still surprised why she turned them down for the comics. I wished she did it for the fans, what was the reason, she couldn't have been that worried her likeness would be so bad, because they have to approve every sketch from the actors, as Alyssa revealed in an interview. So even if she said yes to letting them use her likeness, they still have to run each drawing by her first. So I don't get it. Maybe she wanted the money first, and then show me the drawings.

They could have used the photo of Emmalee Thompson. I think they ignored her whole character. And I'd rather see Prue one last time than the others

She wanted to be paid for them using her image and the company behind the comics DOES NOT have that type of money to be giving especially when the comics werent huge sellers.

Now this makes sense. Yeah they weren't since they are still not running sadly. Seems Buffy was more popular in comic books since that show managed to still keep making them for 20 years. I wish the same was true for Charmed. But then, Season 10 comics killed any interest I had for them to do a season 11 given how bad they got.
