I wished they kept the background score music from season 1 and didn't change it after season 1.
I don't know about anyone else, but I loved it way more. It suited the show and gave it a feel that was just right.
Later seasons the score music got so corny at times.

They lost a lot of the good Season One vibe as the series went on, unfortunately.

They really did. Its why season 1 is NY favourite season. The balance was perfect.
Charmed ones, mortals (Andy/Daryl) and the evils of the week. Back in a time there was no whitelighters, and the suspence of how the charmed ones will survive the week and think for themselves.
but the shift happened in season 2 slightly with changing of background score, piper owns a club and character changes too much, more whitelighters and Leo becomes a regular. The charmed ones begin to rely on Leo more towards the end of the season.
I know people say constance left after 2, but I think her slowly being less involved happened during season 2. She only wrote one episode fully, while the other two were story and not full writing more like her ideas used. Unlike season 1 where she wrote the first and last episodes, here its Kern taking full control of opening and ending episodes.
The decision on Leos return of course wasn't constance. The painted world was written and shot as the original second episode. Yet he suddenly shows up as being involved with Piper again in the third episode shot and filmed mortality bites. So I think the early days of constance and brad disagreeing happened here, as the decision on Leos return was still unclear on those first two written episodes. And the painted world becoming the last time constance was fully involved in an episode writing.

And Phoebe dressed like she lived at Halliwell Manor, not the Playboy Manor.

And Phoebe dressed like she lived at Halliwell Manor, not the Playboy Manor. Yes that too. The show I loved. Andy staying over leo is how I'd want it. He wasn't magical and him and Daryl have the mortal world story element. The best balance among the witches and evil story. Not kerns idea of having whitelighters being too involved in charmed ones lives. I'd prefer the charmed ones involved with mortals and never anything else. And Cole being a warlock but gone after 1 season.
