That's the most likely answer. Charmed fans who've seen my stories would know that R&H are witches now and calling them that all the time would just be exposition.
It's your granddaughter's idea. Perhaps she and you could work on this Fan Fiction together.

There's a lot to talk about in this thread, but first I want to get my thoughts out. Most of my ideas of warlocks and demons, and all of evil magic as a whole, are in my story Hanging with Mr. Turner, so they're already out there, but my idea is this: warlocks are formerly good witches that have killed a witch for their powers and/or are born into it via having a warlock mother or father, while evil witches are those witches that chose evil after the mythological window passed. In other words, if Paige had given into the Source, she would have been an evil witch and not a warlock.
I do wish warlocks continued to play a large part in the mythology like they played in the first season, albeit changed so that not all of them have the power to blink. I appreciated that demons looked like monsters and were animalistic in their ways in the earlier seasons, while warlocks could be evil humans. I did not think Shax was over the top, I think he was just right in his look and his actions: he was a cold-blooded killer that has no sympathy or empathy and simply killed to do a job.
I liked Cole as a half-demon, though him being a member of the Rowe Coven is interesting; it could have worked if they hadn't ended the Rowe Coven in their episode. I do, however, think that he, along with Litvack and a few other highly powerful demons should have been the only human-looking ones. As it is, demons simply became humans with magical powers, stupid plans, and leather pants. There was a whole world of evil monsters and beings to play with, it was unnecessary for Kern to continually use demons.

I always wished they had not done the Rowe Coven and saved it for season 3 with the Turner Coven - in place of the brotherhood storyline. Setting it up so its Prue and maybe one of his brothers who dies In All Hell Breaks Loose. They could of even done that and if they wanted to continue the Cole redemption arc pull elements of Brendon out, Maybe. More on that later, when I have more time to think. But I agree with you on the other points. Warlocks should of played more central and I liked what they originally did with the Source. Above ground he possess humans to blend in with society. Demons look like demons and only posses hosts or shapeshifts to blend in with society and Warlocks looking humam. But they changed all that after season 2. When Warlocks starting being phased out and demons always looked human in leather pants.

Why would Cole have to strip his "warlock" side? Come to think of it, this show did a terrible job in its portrayal of warlocks. The first episode featured this explanation of warlocks from Phoebe:
One, not all witches follow the Wiccan Rede, because there are witches - "good ones" - who are not Wiccans. Two, were we really supposed to believe that the only goal of "bad" witches and warlocks were kill "good" witches and retain their powers? What the hell for? Weren't warlocks supposed to be former witches who had broken their oaths?
And why on earth did Constance Burge had warlocks going into game face and being immortals or semi-immortals? They're supposed to be warlocks, not vampires or demons.
I never understood the hang ups over Cole being half-human and half-demon. Why make such a big deal about it? And if I'm supposed to be believe that Cole's human side equaled good and his demon side equaled bad, then this show has been guilty of "Characterization 101 For Five Year-Olds". Human beings are more than capable of being monsters. There were plenty of monstrous human characters on the show. And even the Halliwells ended up proving just how monstrous they could be.
