In "All Halliwell's Eve" the C was believed to be for Cole but her C future love was Coop, so was it originally supposed to be Cole?

At the time, the writes likely intended for it to mean Cole. It was only during Season 8 when Coop was first introduced that you could argue the apple foretold some random Cupid sent by the Elders as a pity prize being the man whom Phoebe would end up with.

I'm actually surprised that the producers had enough sense to remember that all the way into season 8, the "C" thing that is, then again it is to do with Phoebe's love life, so of course they will have noted it down!

It was meant for Cole. I highly doubt they even named him Coop in s8 due to that, it was probably a total coincidence that they got lucky with (Charmed had quite a few of those) and then pretended they'd thought it through when fans pointed it out after. But yes, it was in the Phoebe-Cole arc, so of course it was Cole.
The apple peel thing was kinda stupid to me anyway. I mean really, a curved sliver of apple made a C shape? WOW! How unexpected.
I'd love to see what it does if your true love starts with a K or something.

I've always thought Coop was simply named that for "Cupid" (very original...I loved Paul Ruditis showing in the comics that it's a nickname for his real last name, Coopersmith) and the fact that his name started with a C, the same as from "All Halliwell's Eve" was pure coincidence, especially because I believe the apple should've shown an A - S8's Phoebe's true love is Antoine much more than Cole or Coop, who just reminds her soul of Antoine. Now S9's Phoebe's soul mate is definitely Coop, while S10's is definitely Cole. |

I doubt they even remembered the episode, let alone planned it out. I mean, these are the exact same writers who couldn't remember that Cole vanquished the Triad or that Paige helped Piper and Phoebe vanquish the Source.  |

Yeah, if they couldn't remember that Paige was there when the Source was vanquished (both times), then it's very unlikely they remember All Halliwell's Eve.
Mr. Cardboard could have been given a name starting with any letter. The "C" was just a lucky coincidence.

It's possible that Kern and his writers probably were reminded by fans that Phoebe's true love began with the letter "C" it might not have been a total coincidence at the end of 8.
But I think the Apple Peel was meant for Cole heck she stated his name in All Hallows Eve in front of him and not for Coop.

It took both Phoebe and Cole by surprise when the apple formed a "C". Sure, at the time it was meant for Cole but when the authors are in need to go on with such a foresight, why not bring in a Cupido as Phoebe's final love? After all, she had way too many in between.  |

What I find incredible is that writers even bothered to check the plot at the time. I mean they did not care to check if Paige was there when the Source was vanquished. lol
Anyway it's obvious it was meant for Cole. But changed later. Still amazed they checked to be honest... lol

I believe it was always intended for Cole until the final season where they choked and had to put Phoebe in a relationship with someone especially with the whole premonition thing, so they wrote Coop for her, because all the sisters had to be with someone who is on the side of good and wouldn't have an evil intentions.
Even Alyssa believed that Coop was going to bring Cole to Phoebe.
