Similar to my other thread to favourite string of episodes, where we had alot of choices to pick different periods. But Now I thought of doing another thread. So lets do one for when was the show at its best.
Which era did you feel Charmed was at its best. The storylines were great and the quality was really good, and can be regarded as the golden era of charmed.

Seasons 1 and 2 first then number 3 till Piper got her blowing up power when they cared about saving innocents, didn't moan about wanting normal lives, Phoebe was the fun loving person we knew and the P03 were at their best.

There is no early season 1 to the end of season 4 option, that's what I'd pick.

Season 1-4 for me. After that 'Charmed' ended for me and 'Twice-Blessed' began.

I went with Season 1 up to early Season 3. The first 2 seasons were great, as well as the early part of Season 3, but it all started going downhill when Phoebe lied to her sisters about vanquishing Cole. That was when the era of PhoeME and Miss Whinealot began.

If Charmed had been only about battles between good witches and demons and warlocks I'ld abstain from watching it Instedd, I was attracted by the sisters' personal lives, their internal conflicts between their new, un‑asked for responsibility to defeat evil and their desire to be normal, ordinary people again with normal, ordinary lives. It was about their realistic feelings and emotions that I'ld relate to I am not for soap opera or flawless, without- doubt, always stouthearted heroines
The first time that Phoebe trusts to really fall in love, she discovers that she is madly in love with the demon in charge of killing her and her sisters and she loves him enough to know that Cole doesn't lie when he claims that he'll give up his task Phoebe trusts him but knows that Prue and Piper have no reason to trust Belthazor, so she lies to her sisters, she is lost, she needs to take time, to understand Then she opens up with Leo, searches for information on Cole's family, in the end she comes clean about what she did with Piper, it's so easy to talk to Piper
Phone behaved like a normal girl, who is free to lie if she think it's right at that moment: the Three Laws of Robotics are not a requirement for humans

I'd have preferred only S6 and so I had no other choice.

There is no early season 1 to the end of season 4 option, that's what I'd pick. Same here. I think most fans would pick either 1 to 3 or 1 to 4. In fact. I wish it would have stopped at Season 4. That would be a good ending to the show.

I agree that that's what it probably would be for most fans. For me - usually the exception to most Charmed opinions - it's "The Witch is Back" to "All Halliwell's Eve", but since that wasn't a choice, I chose the one that came the closest - late S1 to early S3.

That would be a good ending to the show. Yes to it stopping at season 4. The show and story had run its course with how it ended. If they did one more season and ended at 5, they could do the original season 4 and 5 plan so the Cole/evil Phoebe gets half a season, then season 5 could end with the seers vanquish. But yes season 4 had a logical end. But season 3 i could easily live with that too. The cliffhanger would annoy people, but hey angel ended on a cliffhanger and that final is very popular.

Season 5-8.
Just kidding, I just thought someone should put in something different... For me the golden years were Seasons 1-4.

After all, 8 season are too many
Look at Supernatural! I love 1-5 seasons, and the end of season 5 was perfect The other seasons repeat the same pattern indefinitely I still love the brothers but,by now, close to being discovered that they are the favorite secret children of God!

Early Season 1 to early season 3 (The Fourth Sister to Sleuthing with the Enemy) This one works well for me. ☺ That's what I picked, too. Phoebe putting Cole above her sisters was the first big Jump the Shark moment.
