If The Oracle hadn't stepped in front of The Source, could Cole's energy ball had killed The Source?

I'm not so sure. Maybe kill the sources demonic body, but the sources powers and essence no. But vanquish him I don't think so. That's giving too much credit to cole, only higher in the ranking demons like the traid etc. maybe.
He would probably as I said completely destroy its body but not the sources essence.
I can't believe a demon who was only over 100 years old could kill the so called source of all evil. Then again this source wasn't what I'd call the ultimate evil, so lol yeah go cole if he did or could kill him. Haha

The Source was multitasking when he got put into that situation. Not only was he having to maintain the illusionary world Piper was in, but his barrier was also being constantly attacked by energy balls. It wouldn't surprise him if his power was drained from all that effort used to maintain the barrier and the illusion world, and Cole from his Balthazor days certainly wasn't a pushover himself in the demonic hierarchy. The only ones whom I'd argue were more powerful than him besides the Source were Zankou, that unvanquishable demon from the cage, Shax, the Brotherhood of the Thorn, and possibly the Triad. I say "possibly" because Phoebe theorised that he might have been as strong. When he killed them originally, he sort of got the jump on them by attacking when their guard was down.
As to whether thew Source could have been killed or not - I think he would have have. Who knows what would happen to his essence though since Cole has no void in his soul.

I honestly don't know. Perhaps he could have seriously injured the Source, considering that the latter was distracted. Then again, who knows?

Where would the essence go into the Oracle? I think it took the ritual or the hollow. I guess his right hand man or woman in this case would get it.

I think Cole could've managed to kill the Source, had the Oracle not stepped in his way. I (also) don't understand this notion of where the Source's powers would go, when it isn't relevant. The only reason Cole got the Source's powers was because he consumed the Hollow. Did the Source's powers leap onto any of the Charmed ones after they vanquished Source Cole? No! Had Cole killed the Source in Brain Drain (prior to the Hollow coming into play, in later episodes), the Source's powers would have no need to shift over onto somebody else.

If only Piper, Phoebe and Paige had used the power of the three spells in Piper's head. It would have burned the Source's hands and turned the Source black.

However, I think Cole could have done some damage but not vanquish the Source as he does not have the strength to take the Source out alone. However, I think with the help of the Charmed ones...definitely!! |
