Perhaps WLs should've only been a 'training-wheels' thing, like Kit the Familiar. They are 'around' when you first become a witch to watch over you, and when you're deemed competent they move on to a new witch.

Deano I think that is what is supposed to happen, I get the impression that once Leo had saved them from Rex and Hannah that was supposed to be it, he had saved his charges and it was time to move on, but then Leo fell for Piper, and then he got very popular and they wanted to do the whole love triangle thing for ratings. From a business stand point it makes complete sense to keep a popular character in a show if they bring in viewers.

Leo's role in 'Secrets and Guys' makes me think this especially. I do love Leo, but part of me does wonder if he should've left after Season 2.
