I just watched "It's A Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World" rerun on TNT.
Why did the writers feel the need to make the evil side so typical.
I chuckled when evil Daryl says something akin to "I don't want Sheridan to see me talking to you guys or she'll be on my case."
The camera then pans to Inspector Sheridan on top of the bar, dancing on a pole looking sexily over at Daryl.
What are we supposed to take from that? Sheridan is a police officer who also moonlights as a stripper.
Also, this took place at P3. So that means evil Piper in all her evilness didn't open up an ordinary club. She opened up a strip club because she's evil.
I hadn't watched Charmed since 2007. I was very young when I was super into the show so I didn't remember all that.
Also, everyone dresses in black. Why? Even Daryl was dressed in a black shirt and black pants.
Different colored clothing is only for good people while bad people wear black, all black from head to toe.
So that means the Source was the Source of all good and the Elders... were still the Elders... lol
It's kind of sad that the demons of bad world were better at being good than the actual good guys.
Good Barbas came out right said what Gideon's plans were. Unlike Cole, Leo, & Chris who would lie to protect their own asses until sh!t hit the fan.
Demons being more trustworthy and forthright than their own people. Who would've thunk it.

You make good points that it was so typical. It was a little too zzz to me, a fun 2-part episode. But really not that great.
I actually would of simply preferred an episode or alternate universe/world where the charmed ones became warlocks, like in Bride and Gloom, just because I'd love to see how the world would be like without the charmed ones and they are on the side of evil. How things would of gone down. Thats a concept I'd like to see fully explored to its full potenial.

What I found funniest about that episode is that the Charmed Ones weren't really all that evil - just ugly. Just like the real Charmed Ones were no longer that good - just beautiful.

Obscurus Lupa said it best, if it sounds like a good idea, Charmed will find a way to screw it up. Case in point here, they could have done a good parallel universe story like Star Trek, Doctor Who, and other shows have done. However, instead of that, they gave us this silly mirror world story.
And don't even get me started on this "Eternal Day/Night" nonsense. For it to be day/night all the time, the rotation of the Earth would have to be stopped. According to the laws of physics, should that ever happen, the planet would be torn apart. And, even if I bought into this rubbish, what about the side of Earth facing away from the Sun, wouldn't it be dark?
Sorry Kern, my suspension of disbelief will only stretch so far.

Never really enjoyed these episodes. Kind of a stupid idea imo, it was so unsubtle and like you say - too literal. Their idea of the evil Charmed ones were dressing them up like goths. Not really that scary lol.

Those were two truly sh*t episodes, a complete embarrassment as a fan of Charmed. Seriously, they make 'Lucky Charmed', 'Nymphs Just Wanna Have Fun' and 'Oh My Goddess' look like masterpieces by comparison.
The thing that really annoyed me the most was, yes I understood why the 'Good' world was overly cheery, happy-clappy because the balance had been 'thrown off' or whatever. That kind of made sense. But why was the 'Evil' world portrayed in that ridiculously Disney-dark way even before that? If I had directed that episode, I would've made it a truly mirrored world, where only the sisters' morals were different, but everything else (as close as possible) was the same.
Hell, if they'd visited that world in Season 8, you'd be forgiven for thinking they'd just stepped into the 'Good' world.

Charmed was famous for squandering good story opportunities. Sadly, this was one of them.
The writes should have watched Star Trek and/or Doctor Who in order to learn how to do a good parallel world story.

Paige: Well, if you ask me, the grand design is pretty messed up in the first place.I share that opinion widely Leo: It's good. Too good. Where every little infraction is a capital offense and everyone just accepts it.Is it so good that anyone who commits a small infraction is mutilated? I figured if the big picture is messed up, you end up in the Caliphate! I'ld have immediately restored the balance by eliminating the garrulous nurse! It'ld have been much better if Leo and Cris were really back in the future, greeted by Evil Wyatt, so nice in all black, itching for getting back his baby brother A spell 'ld be enough for Gideon to throw Phoebe and Paige out from Wyatt A new glimpse into the future would be more fun and effective that the messof the mirror universe

I suppose it wasn't exactly a 'Good' world, but 'exceptionally law-abiding with extreme prejudice' - more of Charmed's messed up writing.

Charmed really did let a lot of good opportunities slip through their fingers, it seems. This was one of them.

The Goth costumes didn't help.

Exactly. As above mentioned: How would the world turn around if it was on one side only too bright and one too dark, the earth rotation wouldn't follow this law. Great, now I have a headache again. These two episodes could have been a great opportunity to bring out something great but it was not used, unfortunately.

Damned straight. The only way this "Eternal light" thing would have happened would be for the Laws Of Physics to be on vacation. I'm sorry, but even the magical world of Charmed must follow these laws.

The dark world was more similar to the normal world of a crime show and the bright world was more similar to the internal of a grotesque mental hospital
However, I think it was a great shock for a little boy as Wyatt: he saw kill a family member, was kidnapped, had to protect himself from certain death, he wandered around Underworld killing demons I'ld not be sure about Wyatt's safe growing

That I have to agree with. Wyatt saw too many things on this day and yet, he got a new little brother at the end of the day when the older version of said brother died on this day. Great. Again, headache alert!

Wyatt lost the person who made him play and tried to protect him, a terrible scock for an almost two year old child

But not enough to turn him evil. I think that had more to do with Leo not being around and instead Wyatt was raised to use his powers however he wanted, just like S4-8 Piper did, and with her as leader, so did Phoebe and Paige. Ends justified the means rather than the wrong things done for the right reason is still the wrong thing. So, if you think the person is evil, vanquish them. And that's what happened to Wyatt. The real "demon" who turned Wyatt wasn't Gideon or Barbas or Vicus or... it was a Leo-less Piper, the only real difference in Wyatt's original childhood and changed childhood, with that implanted in him long before Piper died in the original future.

According to psychologists, the first two years of life are the most formative of personality, because a child cannot have a processing systems of reality and lives everything happens according his/her fears
Gideon wasn't evil but he committed a terrible act against a child, thinking to save the magic world, instead creating a dangerous weakness in a powerful being: when his family was killed - see the tour guide in Chis Crossed,- Wyatt was sixteen, a dangerous age even for those who have no powers

Unless Wyatt was down there for a while, it might have frightened him, but not enough to turn him evil. It was Piper. Had she trained him properly, he never would've done what he did.

Wyatt was apparently there for months as it happened without Chris' intervention, so I would say yeah, a toddler being in the Underworld for months at a time, only having his powers to survive would mentally scar him enough to start believing in power being absolute.
