1. Long Live The Queen - Favorite episode of all time. Alyssa's performance was amazing in this and I love that moment when she decided to save her sisters and vanquish Cole/The Source. I love how she portrays the heartbreak while saying the spell and the emotional scene with Piper and Paige at the end.
2. Hell Hath No Fury - Best performance by Holly of all. I loved the concept of the episode and how everyone performed. I thought the demons were very interesting as well.
3. Witch Way Now? - I love how they realize that they need/want to be witches. I also love how Phoebe knows she needs to end things with Cole. And of course the pregnancy surprise at the end is wonderful.
4. Marry-Go-Round - I enjoyed the dark peak into what Cole is really up to and the shenanigans of the wedding.
5. Charmed Again 1 & 2 - Very emotional episode and great acting by Alyssa and Holly.

I'm a bit surprised about this one, I've thought that i'm the only one who likes this, because I've always read that everyone thought that this episode was really bad.. And I"m surprised to hear that - I never heard anyone complain about that episode. Not amongst my Top 25 for the entire series, but for S4, definitely one of the best. I always like "saving innocents" stories and loved the way the Charmed Ones saved the Zen Master and loved how he helped save them. Wasn't that nuts over the whole switching bodies routine - never liked Alyssa playing Paige; was never convinced that she was actually Paige - but that's not enough to make me dislike it, like I dislike 'Zen Angry Men'. . |

The problem I had with Enter the Demon is the whole body switching thing. The character of Paige was just too new for that.
One gets the feeling that this was one of those scripts originally written for Prue.

The body switch plot would've work much better if the actresses had put more effort into their performances - Alyssa's 'one-size-fits-all' baby voice was nothing like Paige and Rose barely seemed to play "Phoebe" any different from "Paige".
Now, for my Top 5 episodes:
1. Charmed Again, Part 1
2. Hell Hath No Fury
3. A Paige from the Past
4. Charmed and Dangerous
5. Long Live the Queen (which should've been Cole final exit)

Season 4 is okay, but somewhat overrated. Season 1 was the best:
- "Something Wicca this Way Goes"
- "The Truth Is Out There… and It Hurts"
- "The Witch Is Back"
- "Wicca Envy"
- "From Fear to Eternity"
- "Is There a Woogy in the House?"
- "That '70s Episode"
- "The Power of Two"
- "Love Hurts"
- "Déjà Vu All Over Again"
Better set of sisters, better-written sisters, no annoying demon romances, and best of all, better villains! Rex & Hannah >>>>> The Source, by a long shot!

Agreed. Nothing can top S1, IMO. Rex and Hannah, despite their oh so brief run, were great characters.

I still find it so hard to believe that they were ever considered subordinates of that whiny buffoon known as the Source. Unlike the Source, R&H had actual brains and nearly defeated the sisters as a result. R&H really should've been on the show longer. They (and Zankou) were the perfect Big Bads for the sisters, intelligent and threatening. |

Listing faves for all the seasons isn't really what this thread is about - it's about Season Four - even if Season Four isn't a favorite (it isn't mine - I only have 5 episodes I like in that season, since the Phoebe-Cole story arc post-'Sleuthing with the Enemy' is my least-favorite story arc). So since I listed my five favorites for each season in other threads, especially the poll threads, I won't here.

When whiny half-face showed up, I said "This is the guy that R&H were so scared of!?" The only danger R&H faced from whiny half-face is dying of laughing at him. Seriously.  What happened to the faceless, red-cloaked Satan from "All Hell Breaks Loose"? This was supposed to be (at the time) the main, final Big Bad of the series, and he was this whiny moron with a cheap makeup job. What a joke! R&H would've eaten him for breakfast. How awful was it that they had to live in subjugation to this buffoon for years simply because they were warlocks and not demons? |

I mean look at Kim Jong-un, the "God" of North Korea. Take away his security mooks, and that fat tub of lard probably wouldn't last five minutes in a fist fight with someone. The same goes for whiny half-face.

It says a lot that Whiny Half-Face had Zankou imprisoned. Had he not done that, Zankou could've easily destroyed him and his mooks and taken over the Underworld in just one fell swoop. And, if only that HAD happened, because the show would've been so much better with Zankou as the main, final Big Bad. Like, in that Charmed reboot idea you came up with a while back. |

My top five favorite Season Four episodes are:
1. (4.15) "The Fifth Halliwell" - In this slightly perverse episode, new half-sister Paige Matthews feels like a fifth wheel among her happily married sisters and their husbands, but becomes firmly convinced that one brother-in-law, the demonically possessed Cole Turner, is still evil and a demon. Meanwhile new (temporary) Source and The Seer secretly plot to impregnate Phoebe using Cole's possessed body.
2. (4.03) "Hell Hath No Fury" - Piper, who remains angry over the death of oldest sister Prue and Paige's recent actions, becomes a member of a supernatural band of vigilantes known as the Furies. Meanwhile, Paige takes the Book of Shadows into her work to cast spells in order to help her co-workers . . . and herself.
3. (4.10) "A Paige From the Past" - With whitelighter brother-in-law Leo Wyatt as her guide, Paige goes back in time to her teen years, in an attempt to resolve her feelings about the accident that killed her adoptive parents. Meanwhile, ghosts have taken possession of Phoebe and Cole's bodies and Piper must prevent them from fulfilling a mission.
4. (4.07) "Brain Drain" - The Source sends Piper into a deep coma, where she perceives an alternate reality. Phoebe, Paige, Leo and Cole must find a way to return her to reality and save her from giving up her powers, while she is delusional.
5. (4.13) "Charmed and Dangerous" - The Source breaks an age-old agreement between good and evil by stealing an ancient grimoire called The Hollow, which he uses to absorb Piper and Paige's powers. Meanwhile, Phoebe must allow Cole to help them, despite her having a premonition that involves Cole sacrificing his life to save her from evil.
