Ok after the opening credits we see Phoebe writing a vanquishing spell for The Source? But here's what I don't understand or get, how did Phoebe come about to writing that spell? did she and The Seer share the vision that The Seer saw in the teaser?

As far as I remember there was supposed to be a scene showing her writing the spell and her coming up with the idea but either it was deleted from the final edit for timing reasons or it just got removed from the script before it was filmed, I don't remember which one it was.

I always thought it was the Seer sharing that vision with the Source.

I don't think she shared the Seer's vision, because in that scene in the dining room, after she tells them about her vanquishing spell, she gets her own premonition of the Source hitting Cole with a fireball - and she didn't even realise it was the Source. She simply was writing a vanquishing spell to prepare for the Source, as they had had several battles/encounters with him before.

I don't think there's anything more to it than what we see. Phoebe just came up with the idea. If she'd had a big vision of vanquishing the Source, I highly doubt she'd keep it to herself.

I don't know if that scene would've mattered in that episode.

I am watching are repeat right now and just realized that once The Source got Paige's orbing power, how come he didn't orb up and destroy all of the elders?

Because back then half whitelighters couldn't orb up there... that changed later on when half-breeds became more powerful. I feel like Paige should have never learned to orb, just go in and out which keeping her TK Orbing.

Yeah, Paige couldn't orb up there yet which's why the Source didn't plus he wanted to destroy the Charmed Ones anyway not the Elders then.
If the writers had done their job probably Paige's orbing would've been staggered throughout so season 4 she can only orb in and out of the same room. Season 5 she can orb into the next room. Season 6 Paige can orb upstairs or downstairs to the basement or whatever building she was in. Season 7 she can orb across town. And season 8 across America or to another country so Paige wasn't a taxi cab meaning they'd still have to drive to vanquishes 3 years at least.
