The police could've explained it as the gun ricochet and that's how Jackman died. Who agrees?

Well there's no other prints on the weapon except Jackman's so it would be difficult to incriminate the sisters for his death. This is especially true when you have the girl he tried to burn corroborating that he was a potential murderer focused on killing her.

Depends on where the bullet hit h and the bullet trajectory. They will have to say that though. They can't explain it any other way.
