Why would a demon want a whitelighters powers for anyway? Plus I thought only darklighters can kill a whitelighter not demons? I think the writers screwed up again.

Well it couldn't have been to orb up to Elderland and kill all Whitelighters again after stealing a Darklighters crossbow as that story had been done already unless he wanted to get into the Elder inner circle for some reason which would be stupid to considering the others would know what's happened and overpower him grouped together anyway.
Now if his intentions were to make sure Elders never existed say for instance and he'd had found a way to time travel back to the time Elders were first created and somehow managed to stop that from happening so Whitelighters in turn never came to be then that might've been a better episode perhaps.

Yeah, that's another inconsistency in that episode. Only dark lighters can kill white lighters. One of the major inconsistencies that I found in this episode was, Paige orbs out when she almost climaxes twice and yet Dave never noticed the glowing, blue light and then her disappearing completely? How is that possible? He would notice if her body suddenly wasn't either under him or on top of him and especially for as long as she was away the second time.

Arnon was a demon who wanted Elders powers,if Elders's powers may be transferred to a human guy, even a demon'ld steal and absorbing them, a mental power is neutral, can be used for good or for evil

I had heard about this episode and was hoping it would turn into another 'guilty pleasure' for me, like Wedding from Hell or She's a man, baby', but i found myself just twiddling my thumbs watching it. I did like the young boy playing the bullied kid as i felt he did a good job in the role, but everyone else was awful: the slimy landlord, Cole continued to get on my nerves (as he has all of season 5) and everytime i see the scene change to Phoebe's job at the newspaper i find myself mentally checking out. P.S. On this last point i find Phoebe's rise to celebrity advice columnist this season completely unbelievable. The show segued from her being recommended for the newspaper job at the end season of 4 to her being a major celebrity at the beginning of season 5 without the slightest plot development. We, as the audience, were just told to take it for granted. And I feel like this was done to appease Phoebe's (or Alyssa Milano's) ego. Phoebe had already whined in previous episodes about not getting enough adulation for the work she does in saving innocents, so i feel this was like sweet payback for her. |

For example, in season 3 Phoebe has a throwaway joke where she says "she doesn't want to get undressed in front of Kit anymore", owing to the fact a different familiar turned on his witch and became human. She even called Kit "a him" during that scene, which makes no sense since later on Kit becomes a woman named Katrina. So are the writers telling us Phoebe doesn't even know the gender of her own cat?? |

In that same episode Mr Cat turned villain says "only the Charmed ones are strong enough" to defeat him, however he repeatedly gets killed in comical fashion, with a shoe, an umbrella, and some kind of box cutter doing him in lol. P.S. I'm not sure if you were the one who brought this up, but the guest star acting in Wedding from Hell had me in stitches lol. I laughed so hard during that episode. It's part of the reason i love charmed, even when i dislike an episode there are always moments during most episodes where i find myself rewinding and chuckling at something, usually the acting or some special effects, it's definitely a show which doesn't take itself too seriously all the time which i like. |

Haha, yes!! Apparently he had no idea how lethal a high heel shoe and an umbrella could be in the face of the Charmed Ones, LOL. And no powers were even used for that. Phoebe simply threw the shoe at him and then stabbed him with the umbrella. I'm not sure that was me, but I totally agree with you! I know we talked on the thread about one off plots. Having just recently watched The Wedding From Hell, the episode is fresh in my mind and I’d forgotten how fun the episode is. I literally could make a thread about this episode and talk about all the funny moments and dialogue from it. From the sisters fighting over the shower the whole ep to Phoebe worrying about her sister having a demon child to the awkward conversation between Prue and Andy at Buckland’s with the fertility icon to just the name of the bride—I mean, Jade D’Mon? Like how’d they not know sooner that she was the demon? If I had to make a list of funny episodes to watch, this would DEFINITELY be on it, along with She’s A Man, Baby, A Man. Others that come to mind off the top of my head would be Chick Flick and Sense And Sense Ability. Yes, even when Charmed is just bad, I can find joy in the silliness. As I’m going through and rewatching the series right now, I’m actually taking notes on stuff in the episodes (mainly for important things I want to remember for a fanfic idea I’m working with) and I find myself writing silly commentary on these fun moments. Maybe I’ll do a future thread or share it in a thread that fits sharing this commentary! |

I also love the early seasons silly episodes, even if they're bad. I get the sense that everyone was having fun and trying their best. It's very comforting to go back and rewatch those episodes that don't make too much of a difference to the overall story and are just awkward and weird.

Oh, like you guys, I wish I could find joy in the silliness, because I can't. All of those episodes you mentioned never made me laugh; they just made me roll my eyes. I count all of them as least-favorites because rather than silly, I find them stupid and I don't find stupid silly or funny.
I thought that might be a generational thing but now I see that Prue's Feather, who's even older than I am can find joy in the silliness, I guess it's just me.

My bad - I was mixing you with with The Crone. So my idea that different generations find different things funny might be correct after all. I've never understood why stupid commercials would make people buy stuff (I switch the station/channel), but it sounds like you younger people think that what I think is stupid you find silly and funny.
