Witches In Tight was an unmemorable episode for me. I mustn't have cared for it otherwise I would have remembered it. Just looked it up. Oh, it's the superhero episode, no wonder I didn't remember it, I hated that episode, so don't worry it isn't just you. Very glad to hear that it's not just me. I *do* love 'Chick Flicks', 'Sin Francisco' and 'Sense and Sense-Ability.' Those are the ones I find funny. Those three are my favorites, so funny and on my list as personal favorite episodes. Witches in Tights I didn't like. I wished they went with the original title Magic Wears a Mask, but still that wouldn't make the episode any better. I'm still under the impression they used this episode to jump on the popularity of superhero shows at the time. Wasn't Smallville a new show on The WB at the time?

You're right about Magic School and Harry Potter.

I also love the early seasons silly episodes, even if they're bad. I get the sense that everyone was having fun and trying their best. It's very comforting to go back and rewatch those episodes that don't make too much of a difference to the overall story and are just awkward and weird. I feel the same. Later seasons not so much. Oh, like you guys, I wish I could find joy in the silliness, because I can't. All of those episodes you mentioned never made me laugh; they just made me roll my eyes. I count all of them as least-favorites because rather than silly, I find them stupid and I don't find stupid silly or funny. I thought that might be a generational thing but now I see that Prue's Feather, who's even older than I am can find joy in the silliness, I guess it's just me. I'm actually twenty six, so it could explain the difference in perspectives on the episodes I mentioned, like you said. I think you might have mixed me up with someone else -- but no worries! Witches In Tight was an unmemorable episode for me. I mustn't have cared for it otherwise I would have remembered it. Just looked it up. Oh, it's the superhero episode, no wonder I didn't remember it, I hated that episode, so don't worry it isn't just you. I agree here. Although I actually enjoy watching episodes like The Wedding From Hell and She's A Man, Baby, A Man, I find Witches In Tights ridiculous. I loved those episodes. I found Witches In Tights too gimmicky, if that makes sense, that's why I couldn't enjoy it, it seemed like an identity crisis as well, like the show runners and writers had no idea what to write then just said "well comic books are getting quite popular now" then everyone just kind of accepted it.

I think you might have mixed me up with someone else -- but no worries! OOPS! My bad - I was mixing you with with The Crone. So my idea that different generations find different things funny might be correct after all. I've never understood why stupid commercials would make people buy stuff (I switch the station/channel), but it sounds like you younger people think that what I think is stupid you find silly and funny. I'm glad I understand that now. It's okay! Even I find some of the commercials so stupid. And if I do find them funny, I find I gloss over what they're actually selling/marketing sometimes! Yes! These are funny episodes I love! I remember the first time I saw Witches In Tights and thought, they really made the Charmed Ones superheroes? Just so bad. Those three are my favorites, so funny and on my list as personal favorite episodes. Witches in Tights I didn't like. I wished they went with the original title Magic Wears a Mask, but still that wouldn't make the episode any better. "Smallville" went from 2001-20111, right around this time. It's like Magic School and Harry Potter. Funny that Paige even mentions Harry Potter in the show and then they go ahead a couple seasons later and throw the Harry Potter thing in there, with Paige teaching at Hogwarts 2.0.

I get you. Had I not read through some of the comments about this episode on this thread, I, like you, would have almost forgotten the ridiculousness of this episode. Or just what happened in it in general. I'm not into the superhero thing as much either so that's another reason why it didn't appeal to me. It does seem like that. I can just imagine them saying that in the writing room. Really just shows so much how the quality of the show went downhill over the years.

Magic Wears A Mask - I like this title better. Just the name Witches In Tights doesn't set high expectations going in. I didn't even know they'd had a different title for it originally. I feel like I'm learning so much behind the scenes info from being on here!

I think that Charmed would have been an amazing supernatural series if they cut the ridiculousness and try to make a coherent show. I would have cut this episode and went straight to "The Eyes Have It". With Phoebe's and Cole's daughter being the one that they are preparing for.

I feel like I'm learning so much behind the scenes info from being on here! Season 5 has been hard to watch so far. It had a few good episodes in a row: Barbas the fear demon, the episode where Miles dies, and the eyes have it were all fine episodes. However, they ruined the momentum by immediately putting Phoebe in the silly Egyptian garb. And this after already seeing her as a Mermaid, a superhero, and Cinderella, all in the first ten episodes of season 5! P.S. I also have a hard time understanding how Charmed so freely moves on emotionally from one episode to the next. Phoebe is unable to save her innocent Miles, a man she has romantic feelings for in one episode, and yet there she is in the very next episode enjoying herself at P3 in the very same place where she and Miles were just having a date the episode before! I know they have to be tough, because death is a constant presence in their lives, but you would think Phoebe would have mourned him a little more before she went back to her normal routine. Continuing with this point i was shocked at the end of season 4 that Phoebe was not completely traumatized by losing her baby, a baby she carried for weeks or months before it was snatched away from her. I understand the baby was evil, and the seer convinced her it wasn't her baby all along, but she still carried it. That's got to leave a few emotional scars, and yet Phoebe seemed to bounce back from that almost immediately.

What's so special about Raynor's mental powers that Argon wants so badly? I kind of don't mind this episode. I think its quite funny. It reminds me of Tyler in Season 4 as well. Yeah its tacky but I also liked the idea of the conjuring (witch?) and Elders not having active powers. To be honest - Primrose Empath was tacky with the Matrix copy cat act at the end and that seems to be a favourite for a lot of people. I also like how it deals with Coles morality as well as this is the point where he does go over the edge. (regardless of Character destruction in Season 5) The only thing I can think of is that Arnon wanted Ramus's premonition powers to ad to his sencing powers. It would have made more sense if he was a warlock or darklighter though. Also is there a difference between Elders and Whitelighters at this points. Are whitelighters immortal but Elders aren't?

Ah . . . "Witches in Tights". Another crap episode. Totally agree. I don't like this episode, at all. This was just a "fluff" episode, and it wasn't even a good "fluff" episode. There are way more better "fluff" episodes, than this one such as "Happily Ever After", "The Day Magic Died", "Sense and Sensibility", etc.

I really don't like this episode. But what gets on my nerves was them making a teenage boy an Elder.

Yeah but kings and queens when they are still children have a regent or regents to rule the kingdom on their behalf.

Yeah but kings and queens when they are still children have a regent or regents to rule the kingdom on their behalf. True, but I took Leo's explanation more as a generic comparison as opposed to a literal statement. I don't think Elders have a royalty system.

True, but I took Leo's explanation more as a generic comparison as opposed to a literal statement. I don't think Elders have a royalty system. So what's the difference between an Elder and Whitelighter? From what I remember Leo saying, they're The Founders, who guide whitelighters, whereas whitelighters guide witches & future whitelighters. Kevin wasn't a whitelighter prior to becoming an Elder, as opposed to Leo, so I can't say for certain that all Elders are just Whitelighters. And to add, Elders- like Ramus, seemed to be able to only posses mental abilities. We've only seen Whitelighters posses the usual physical whitelighter feats.
