I know Holly said the show was a season early when Piper was pregnant as a joke. So does that mean when she's pregnant with her second son on the show, she was really pregnant in real life? And I remember her saying that she was pregnant during the last 2 episodes of the series, so was that her second pregnancy in real life?

And I remember her saying that she was pregnant during the last 2 episodes of the series, so was that her second pregnancy in real life? She found out that she was pregnant with her first son during filming "The Sword and The City", then with her second one during filming the series finale. You can actually see her pregnant belly on Phoebe and Coop's wedding. |

I wonder hypothetically speaking had there been a season 9 on tele what would they have done regarding Holly's pregnancy?

They'ld have to add a kid or invent a disease ... I hope they didn't think to freeze her too!

Or hide the pregnancy completely through camera shoots which would be the best option other than time jumping to Piper been pregnant with Melinda which people wouldn't want more kids on the show obviously.

A lot of shows do this now, when one of their stars gets pregnant, they write into the show. When Alyson Hannigan got pregnant with her second child, they wrote that into How I Met Your Mother.

I remember the days they hid it. Julia on seinfeld was pregnant and they used hollywood magic to hide it. Same on Desperate Housewives i believe.
Geeze how would production handle another actress pregnant again had charmed kept going post season 8. Most likely another child being born. However some shows simply reduce the season order to avoid writing it the script like bones and sex and the city i believe.
Its ashame they cant just find ways to hide it and not change storylines.
However had Pipers pregnancy with Wyatt not happened at the end of season 4 and they continued and did the evil phoebe arc in season 5 as originally planned. Piper would be pregnant in season 6 with Wyatt. Curious how it could of turned out.

They may well have just time-jumped and made her pregnant with Melinda as there didn't appear to be a big age difference between Chris and Melinda in the flash-forward to me. |
