I understand that the show is about the POWER OF THREE, but at the heart, it was initially about (three) sisters who happened to be witches. I would have preferred a couple of episodes of Piper and Phoebe dealing with the loss and then finding about about Paige. And them taking the time to develop the relationship instead of BOOM! SISTERS! BOOM DESTINY. BOOM! P3. Also, that way, The Source could have tried more time to lure Paige instead of that stupid 24 hour rule. Like others have said, there is NO WAY the would have all accepted their relationship so fast. Paige was an only child for 20-some years. And Piper's best friend was killed. Develop that and their magic, and ease into S5 for Source/Queen. I know the network and Kern wouldn't have done that because reasons and stuff, but I would have LOVED a season for transition for ALL. That would of been a much better way to do it. But alas Kern needed to hurry up and make us forget about Prue and get the power of three back together as soon as possible. I'd love to see someone attempt to do a fan fiction for season 4, when Shannen is still fired but trying to work Paige in gracefully and not as rushed as season 4 clearly was forcing two seasons worth of storylines into one.

With all the AU Fan Fictions coming out now, I could see this actually happening.

I agree with what some others have said before - Shax should've been the mid-season vanquish instead of Half-Face. Half-Face should've then been killed in the finale, with the cliffhanger ending on Cole's black-fiery eyes flashing.

They'ld have to write a new Patty's love story but it'ld be hard to explain why Patty gave a daughter up for adoption Only a forbidden love'ld justify such a choice, maybe a runaway passion for a darklighter as Daisy and Alec? I would've loved to see Paige half-darklighter rather than half-whitelighter - a much-more interesting combination, especially when she becomes Charmed - a bit like Phoebe - pulled in both directions. And no way the Elders could turn her into a whitelighter while she was still alive. As for the poll, I voted 'No'. I wish Season Five had been dedicated more to Paige, while Cole was left behind in Season Four - two seasons of him and Phoebe were more than enough. And I didn't want to find out more about this new so-called sister - one Patty *dared* to call Piper and Phoebe's baby sister - when I was still mourning the loss of Prue, something I didn't know about until I watched 'Charmed Again' the first time it was aired. Had they let Piper and Phoebe mourn their big sister more - "What do you think Prue would do?" "I don't know - what do you think she would do?" "I wish Prue was here." "Yeah, me, too." "Sorry, guys, I wish I was Prue, but I'm not." "No, you're not. But remember - you don't have to be. You trying to be like her won't let us miss her any less." or have Prue speak to them via the spirit board if she couldn't appear to them - it would've been a bit easier to accept Paige - especially if they found out that Prue accepted Paige as a sister because as part of the Power of Three, she could help protect Prue's true sisters. As is, turning a stranger into a true sister that quickly was as bad as what happened with Billie in Season Eight when they tried to turn *her* into a fifth sister. So, no, I think they spent *too much* time on Paige in Season Four. Take care of those we knew and cared about - Piper & Leo; Phoebe & Cole - in Season Four and *then* let us find more of Paige's background in Season Five if there is a Season Five, with perhaps 'A Paige From the Past' as the 100th episode - that would've suited me just fine.

I'm planning on doing a fanfic about Paige and her adventures in season four had she NOT become a part of the power of three. It'll tie in with my alternate season four "Charmed Reborn" fanfic. Looking forward to coming up with ideas for it.

I agree totally! The Elders had no right to assign tasks as whitelighter, Paige is a witch with some power inherited from her father!
In addition, Leo had spoken of darklighters seducing women to have children, seductive idea, when a new sister was necessary, the writers'ld remember this

The rush seems to be a widespread feature among those who writes TV stories!
There was no rush about Paige hangin out with her new sisters once eliminated Shax as there was no hurry that Piper and Phoebe accepted her as a sister as there was no hurry, in the season 8, to bring the Charmed Ones out of their coverage
Not to mention Billie and Christy's invasion!

I voted Yes , Paige seemed very much a filler for The Power of Three in the beginning of Season 4. I would've loved it if we would've ACTUALLY gotten episodes consisting of her past. Perhaps Paige from the past could've been about Paige trying to combine both of her biological and adoptive families together for Christmas dinner at the Halliwell Manor. However a demon of the week could've interrupted and she has to play hostess and power of three having her feel torn between both families. Perhaps Leo advises meaningfully tells her that she doesn't have to feel torn and that their our all her family. No Frankie or Lulu PERIOD !!!
Paige should've stayed a social worker and since she was suppose to be a Whitelighter. Some of her charges could've came through social services. It bugged me that Phoebe was the only one working to provide an income for the Halliwell Manor. Paige needed to go back to work ASAP !!!

Amen to that. That Frankie and Lulu rubbish was so out of place on that episode.
Perhaps if she had, she wouldn't have lost half her IQ and started hanging out with Disney rejects.

I think in terms of being a Whitelighter the Elders should've let Paige decide whether she wanted to do that or not and didn't just thrust it upon her say like the short blonde haired female Elder Sandra could've come down season 7 and said, "It's up to you of course Paige whether you'd like to do this or not as you'll still have you're charmed duties obviously." taking free will into consideration and then. "If you like you could do it part time say and see how you get on seeing as your only half whitelighter and then if you don't enjoy it we leave it at that."
And as forever8 said if Paige was still a social worker then the Elders could've sent her charges via that.

After all, in Season One, Leo said he had the chance to choose if he wanted to be a whitelighter. I hate that in the alternate-universe spin-off that Kern created Elderhood was forced on Leo and whitelighterhood was forced on Paige - WHILE SHE WAS STILL ALIVE! All part of why I love Charmed and hate the alternate-universe spin-off.

Paige was suppose to be a wich, a Charmed Ones not a whitelighter, she was alive and she was a witch with the ability of orbing and healing
Phoebe wasn't the only one working, Piper is the only one who never stopped working Maybe Paige had some saving and, when she discovered her heritage, she neeeded some time to understand what she wanted to become

I also feel Long Live the Queen should have happened with Prue, not Paige as I will be writing in my own rewrite. Don't get me wrong - I love Paige and I love that episode but Paige was the baby sister and at the point the series was, that episode occurring with Prue, Piper and Phoebe would be better. Prue and Piper's baby sister becoming the Queen of the Underworld and being forced to vanquish the love of her life would have been amazing.

IDC, personally. Paige does get great episodes in later seasons. I wasn't really a fan of each sister having an entire season arc, anyway. Prue was S1. Piper was S2. Phoebe felt like she was supposed to be S3, but she was S3-S8, instead.
