Final Destination 2 was coming out a year after Season 5 of Charmed and "A Witch in Time" has a very similar plot to the Final Destination series, where Death is after Miles constantly and Phoebe stops it.
Was this promoting Final Destination?

This episode really didn't make much sense. If Miles was meant to die all along, then why did Phoebe keep having visions about it. If it was meant to be, then warning her about it made no logical sense.
Of course, this is Season Five, when logic took a vacation from the writers room of Charmed.

As Obscurus Lupa pointed out in her Season 5 review, this episode was nothing more than a cheap, lazy retread of an idea that had been executed far better with Prue in "Death Takes a Halliwell."

Didn't Leo tell Paige and Piper that they weren't sending Phoebe the visions her "love connection" aka "lust connection" that Miles and Freebie had were the ones triggering the premonitions

If Miles was meant to die all along, then why did Phoebe keep having visions about it. If it was meant to be, then warning her about it made no logical sense. Another reason Phoebe might've got the visions also is because Miles kept living when he should've died already the imbalance had to try be corrected hence the near death experiences and multiple premonitions.

I wish they could also give us a proper explanation why Phoebe kept getting premonitions about Andy's death if it wasn't meant to be prevented.

Now that you mention it that got me curious too.

I wish they could also give us a proper explanation why Phoebe kept getting premonitions about Andy's death if it wasn't meant to be prevented. Because without those premonitions they wouldn't have prevented other deaths - their own. That was the choice. If they wanted to save Andy, they'd have to lose the Power of Three (since they had no idea Paige existed). As much as it hurt to lose Andy, they chose to not rewind time yet again so the everlasting cycle would stop.
