In the episode "The Eyes Have It" it was about the young woman named Ava who was disowning her Gypsy magic, would you had liked to see a spin-off series of her using her Gypsy magic? Imo that character had potential. Lydia and Ava were my favorite Season 5 characters and I wish they hadn't killed off Lydia.

As long as Kern and his writers weren't involved. If they were, then we'd see every ethnic stereotype about gypsies under the sun.
In fact, "gypsy" is not even the correct term. These people are called Romany (or Rom).

I doubt many people would have watched it but I definitely would have. Way better than the silly mermaid idea.

I liked Ava but I'm not interessed in gypsy's story, very hackneyed topic in Spain, in several Spanish series until recently the usual gypsy was a fixed character
It's better gypsy, they aren't all from Romania, Rom means from Romania

If Emmanuelle Vaugier had been the lead, I'd be very into the idea.
Would certainly prefer it to the sound of "Mermaid"... which from what I've heard, hardly even sounded like a spin-off. I didn't actually mind the mermaids, but you just know it'd end up being an excuse for lots of Alyssa style scale-booby shots.

Exactly the storyline with Miley would've been enough since she was the innocent.

Typing of my iPhone
But I thought that the guy Phoebe ended up would be a gypsie and wish they added this to the charmed universe over nymphs and leprechauns and f**k**g dwarves ! Come on! Just white lighters, witches and gypsies!
Love Charmed !

I would of liked it if they actually expanded on 'gypsy' magic. It would of been a great asset in other episodes, maybe we can even see Piper teaching Ava how to create her own Book of Shadows at the end of 'The Hills Have Eyes' episode.
It would be better than Phoebe turning into a g*dd**n mermaid with that pathetic story about the Sea Hag.

I would be for it. I love the eyes have it and bringing back Ava. I thought she should've been involved more in Charmed, but disappeared after one episode

I (also) agree in Ava having so much potential. I wouldn't have minded a Gypsy Magic spin-off show, I suppose. Even though, I like Ava, I'm not sure if I want Ava, specifically to be the protagonist of this show. Perhaps, this show could be a prequel leading up to this episode, and Lydia is the protagonist? Just a thought...

It's better gypsy, they aren't all from Romania, Rom means from Romania It doesn't mean from Romania. Romanian means from Romania. Romani/Rromani/Romany is a different ethnic group originating in the Indian subcontinent and you're right, they aren't all from Romania, they live all over the world. In my country, the G-word is considered a derogatory term, but I don't know if that applies everywhere. Rom(a) or Romani is definitely correct, though. I agree, I don't think it would be a really good idea, unless it was written by Romani people

In my country, the G-word is considered a derogatory term, but I don't know if that applies everywhere. It doesn't, although the Charmed Sub has classified it as "hate speech", now, even though the show used it (and not in a derogatory manner, either). I guess the phrase "it's not what you say but how you say it" no longer applies. I can't even reference it, at all. Which is a little silly considering this particular episode is not the only episode to contain the word. I'm afraid I can't even reference that one Cher song used in S1E17 "That 70s Episode" (DvD version, only) because it actually contains the word, and it's a bannable offense, on the Charmed Sub, if you dare use it, so. I do think there's a difference between making a reference and being derogatory. As far as I can tell, there are individuals that want a complete ban on the word, regardless.

I mean its only in reference to something made twenty years ago. The Charmed Reddit sounds like a nightmare. I'm with you in regards to making a reference and being derogatory.
