Forgive me folks if there is a thread already.
Im a big Trekkie fan. Since a late teen watching the original series. I have attended conventions and dressed in uniform, even had the pleasure of some young kids thinking I was on the show at one point simply dressed in uniform leaving a convention.
I am holding out for the likes of blu ray sets of the show.
Anybody else a fan here?
Lets share our favorite series and movies and rank them in order. Hows that?
Look forward to hearing your responses everyone.

A funny story. Gosh I wish I thought of that at my jury duty service back 12 years ago.

I don't mind Star Trek although am not a fan of it.
There is someone else here called Tim username 'rexandhannah1' who is a massive trekkie fan and Doctor Who one to who has another board with one of the members here 'BettyNewbie' where they talk about Star Trek there also.

Look forward to hearing your responses everyone. My mom's dream was getting married on Enterprise deck! I grew up with Star Trek, I know the first directive better than my Constitution and I remeber, when I was a little girl, a wonderfu trip with my parents to the Paramount Studios, I sat on the captain's chair Last year, on vacation in Los Angeles, I visited the Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park and I saw the Kirk’s Rock, I got excited

Ah, yes, the place where James T. Kirk fought the Gorn and won. I would love to go there myself.

I never watched the original series from 1960ies, yet the following Spin-Offs with The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager. The Next Generation was interesting for me since I knew Jonathan Frakes from "North & South" as Stanley Hazard. The other two following had some interesting plots and characters, so to speak. Anyway, I also watched the new movies with a complete new cast and I'm looking forward to the third movie this year!!

For me with Voyager I probably liked Seven and Kes best because they were both complex characters.

I love Voyager second. The Motion Picture (1979) was a dream come true to see a film made at the time. Anybody here know much about our new series set to begin in 2017.

Look forward to hearing your responses everyone. I'm also a big Star Trek fan, although I was always a Trekker, never a Trekkie, and always just the original series. I could never get into the other versions, although I loved the movie that featured the Next Generation and the death of Kirk. Of the movies themselves, the only one I really liked was "The Voyage Home". Most of the others were too dark or too esoteric for me. Bones was always my favorite character with Scotty, Sulu and Chekov right behind him; Spock my least-favorite. Yes, even in Star Trek, my opinion was usually different than the more-popular one. I loved Kirk when he didn't have stars in his eyes...that got much too boring, although I love the way that was portrayed in the reboot - Kirk is easily my favorite in the reboot, even if he should have been named George Samuel rather than James Tiberius, since Sam was George's first son. Speaking of the J.J. Abrams' movies, I thoroughly enjoyed the first one while was thoroughly bored with the second one, just like I was bored with the second Star Trek movie, the one with Khan. I do wish Charmed could do something like that - pushing it all the way back to when Shax attacked Prue and Piper, and leave Paige, Wyatt, Chris and Billie out of the story...
