I've always wondered how Premonition and Time Freezing would differ if Piper or Phoebe had been half-whitelighter. We see of course that Telekinesis changes to orbing things with your mind instead of moving them. This thought has been bugging me for ages and I couldn't think of how their powers would change, so I've decided to ask my friends on the cafe. Any ideas?

Idk about freezing, but with premonitions I think Phoebe would orb out before receiving a premonition and orb back in after the premonition ended or she would orb into the premonition itself. |

If Piper or Phoebe had died, I honestly think Paige would just have standard Freezing or Premonition. Orbing goes well with TK because they're both movement powers. I'm not sure how you could work orbing into either of the other two in a particularly natural way.

This is something I always pondered as well and, after thinking about it loads, I've got a few ideas:
If Phoebe died, Paige could perhaps have a mixture of the Whitelighter power of Sensing and Phoebe's Premonition power, which would perhaps allow her to "track" people and locate them in a vision, basically a "premonition" of the present. Either that or she would perhaps be able to produce balls of orbs (like she did when she revealed her secret to Henry in 'Repo Manor') and they would act like a crystal ball in the palm of her hand. Another variant of this idea is the orby-eye thing that Wyatt did to scare off Piper's dates in 'Soul Survivor'. She could do this as it reminded me of the way the Seer foresaw the future.
Replacing Piper in the power trio proves a lot more complicated but as her "Freezing" involves the decreasing of molecular speed, I think she could've had Ice-Freezing (as displayed by Prue's past life) as it could be hybrid of Freezing and also the Whitelighter ability to manipulate temperature/thermodynamics.
Another possibility is Hyper Speed - as it would allow Paige to perceive time "slowed down" but in a much more individualistic and perceptive way; something well suited to a Whitelighter's role and needs. It is also a movement/transportation power like Orbing and so I imagine it to look "orby" a bit like Paige's charge's, Mitchell, power in 'Freaky Phoebe'.

My idea of Phoebe and Piper having whitelighter variants of freezing and premonition power would be little tiny orbs floating around Phoebe's head when she had a vision signalling that and then Piper freezing person/people in millions of small orbs which would disappear once they unfroze.
Both powers would be activated the same way they were originally on the show but would risk either sister been exposed more because of the orbs obviously especially Phoebe who couldn't control when she got a vision so they'd have to be very careful where and when they used them in public which would be difficult for Phoebe.
In terms of varying the powers another way without having orbs in them I couldn't think of anything unfortunately so I just done those this way then.

Piper is hard to think how it could work. You'd need a more pacific version of freezing/exploding the way her summoning power is more pacific than Prue's TK. Maybe rather than freezing, they'd be surrounded by orbs and just slow down... Not very effective in a battle, but then neither was her summoning power, which is why I feel she just should've gotten Prue's version of TK like Chris did. |

Phoebe's premonitions share a much greater affinity to Whitelighter abilities than Piper's do. The resonance of magical energies and sensing others could allow for her to develop an astral connective link to the people whom she's bonded with. It might even allow her to perceive events that are currently going on from the perspective of others like when she developed her psychic link to the succubus in Season 2. As for Piper -- it's difficult to say. About the only overlying similarities her power shares with Whitelighters' is manipulating matter to move in a certain way. In Piper's case she's speeding up and slowing down molecules while a Whitelighter is teleporting them to other locations. Perhaps a commingling of those two different varieties of power could involve rearranging molecules altogether. A Piper/Whightlighter combination could allow for her to move the molecules while speeding or slowing them.
