I really believe it could as well.
If Charmed had started in, say, 2003, that means that Chris Crossed would have aired in 2008, when Social Media was already established. Donna and Lisa, the campaign founders, might have had direct communications with Wes and Drew themselves. Perhaps they could have gotten impression from both actors on how they felt about a TCS series.

True. It could have worked, our campaign, if it's happened now. And if the actors were still available. The campaign against a Castle spin off e is a demonstration of how much power fans have gained ABC had already contracts signed by actors chosen and some scripts ready but the revolt of the fans, furious at the elimination of the beloved character of Kate Brecket, canceled all the projects Currently the TV series are no longer considered second-class products, but are given due consideration and important actors want to recite, see Kevin Spacey or Jessica Lange Now a campaign like that TCS' would be taken into account

Too bad that Social Media, the way it is now, didn't exist back then.
Shows how much the Internet has grown in the past decade.

Yeah, nothing without Social Media! At least, we can follow Drew's and Wes' twitter accounts nowadays and look for new info on their sides.

If Twitter had existed back in 2005, they could have both followed the campaign.
Still, we did the best we could with what we had. And I met a lot of nice people at TCS, whom I still regard as online friends to this day.
To date I don't think any other Charmed characters got so much support for a TV show of their own.

I was thinking today that it would have been awesome having a prequel to Charmed from when Grams died (with Phoebe in New York, Prue with Roger and Piper living in an apartment next door to Paige) that ends with the beginning of Something Wicca This Way Comes.
And that Chris, Melinda and Prudence Jr. come back from future to figure out a way to save Wyatt in the future.
They could have been the ones that Prue and Piper leased the Manor to and they could have had control over the Book and Attic.
The series would be set in the years 1996 - 1998 for 3 or four seasons and would focus on popular culture from that era. Girl Power, Denim on Denim and Beverley Hills 90210. (hahaha)
Imaginations.

Although I usually don't like much to do with the Charmed Sons, I must admit I do like this idea. Just please don't call Prudence Prudence Jr. In America, Junior is only used for boys, not girls, just like Henry Jr. would be Henry Matthews Jr., not Henry Jr. Matthews. So just call her Prudence, or be like the comics and call her PJ, or call her by my favorite nickname for her - Prudie. I love the idea of a BH90210-era Shannen playing Prudie and different actors playing Wyatt and Chris. Jason Priestly and Luke Perry, perhaps???

An interesting idea. However, the problem is that all the actors are now too old to believably play the characters at the ages they would be during this time.
Also, it was stated that Prue and Piper shared an apartment prior to Penny's death. She said in the pilot that she and Piper gave up their apartment to move back to the Manor to take care of it when Grams died.
Melinda and Prudence Jr. No such characters exist.

I've often thought of this idea as well. Since nobody was living in the Manor at that point. It would be a great short series that we know would end by Season 3! I love the idea of the setting - girl power, denim on denim. The 90's are now retro and seen as the 'last greatest decade' and it would be like That 70s Show for the 90's in the 2010's. I don't mind Drew Fuller being played by someone else. But I always had a feeling he was a little gay. And to be gay in the 1990's, although social acceptable by then, would be far different from 2020. Plus it's San Francisco! There are also key moments in history at that time like Monica Lewinsky, Princess Diana's death, Wannabe, Titanic, Tiger Woods, Harry Potter (dear I say it). I'd be keen for this time series or something like the Patty/Victor/Sam relationship in the 1970s. In terms of Melinda and Prudence Jr. Those are the cards we have been dealt. And if there's anything I wouldn't want to go against is consistency because that's what fans have been let down by a great deal. Good Idea

I think you're confusing the actor with the character here.
Have they? By whom? Not the comics, they're not canon and don't count. Not the Charmed Wiki, that place cannot tell canon from fanon.
The only one of the Brood Of Brats that has a canon name is Paige and Henry's son, Henry Jr. That is the only one that was named in that damned flash forward.
The only "Melinda Halliwell" is part of the future we saw in Mortality Bites, a future that no longer exists.

LOL! But Drew is flamboyant enough to be fictional. He's just so pretty, I don't think it's humanly possible for anyone to be that attractive. He actually reminds me a lot of an dubbed anime character. Unrealistically gorgeous, but the voice acting is terrible. [Off-topic, I know. But I felt like I had to mention it.]

I am quite convinced that when the Winchester brothers will retire, the Halliwell brothers'll be taken into account in order to confort the fans of Supernatural Years ago I read that there were 7 different proposals for CS spin off, almost all proposed by Charmed writers, even by Holly Comb The actors'll not be the same, but do not worry, firenana, the world is bulging with hot guys

It would be a tie between Dan and him for me. off topic - but gotta say it

I don't know if the Other Darrin would work these days. Bewitched got a lot of flak for it, and that was decades ago, in a vastly different world.

Yup. Totally agreed. For some reason, my dad confused Chris with Dan. They look totally different.

The only "Melinda Halliwell" is part of the future we saw in Mortality Bites, a future that no longer exists. No names were stated. As much as I hate the epilogue, we'd have to take it. But NO ONE STATED ON THE SHOW that the girl with Wyatt and Chris and Piper was their sister. I *personally* believe it's Lady Bug, Phoebe's daughter. The age fits better there. Would I watch a Charmed Sons spin off now? Possibly. Brad would be no where near it. Someone who watched and researched and knows Charmed would need to be in charge. With an actual BOS and show bible to not be so contradictory. The actors? They could be gone and replaced. I don't think I'd mind that much anymore. FAMILY FOCUS. FAMILY FAMILY FAMILY. (But, brother family. not "epilogue crazy family". Just brothers. Maybe Lady Bug.) Eventually Bianca because I'm 10000000000000000000% bias. Wyatt's powers would need to be contained because that got excessive. But I still want a bit of that Chris Cross feel. POWER. But him not going full darkside. Chris there to reign him in.

I think it's safe to assume that 95% of Charmed fans hate that flash forward and wish it could have been left on the cutting room floor somewhere. If anything ruined the chances for a Charmed continuation, it was that. We know that the sisters faced no more demons, that they all started shooting out babies and lived happily ever after. We know how their story played out.
A continuation would be pointless, like starting a mystery novel already knowing who the murderer is, IMO.
As for the kids, as I said, only Paige and Henry's son is given a name, and none of the others are. That girl could be anyone. It could be "Ladybug", whom Leo and Piper were b babysitting that day. The comics can say what they want, but, they're not canon. What is canon, what actually counts, the show, is completely silent on the identity of that girl.

And I don't care what anyone says behind the scenes, if Brad named her and her parents. He didn't script it, so it doesn't count.

This TV Trope pretty much sums it up. It doesn't matter what Kern intended, the only thing that counts is what made it onscreen.
