Just watched the most recent episode of season 12 (episode 8) They can't be serious?! How will the Winchesters get themselves out of this one....Or will this be the end of our beloved hunters... Shelfy There are so many ways they can get out of it. Castiel, Crowley, British Men of Letters, other hunters...maybe they end up in the same place they did back in Season 2. I'd like to see a supernatural problem wherever they're at or that they come across a prison guard who moonlights as a hunter. But there really are plenty of ways to get out of the current situation. I was actually really disappointed with the Lucifer situation. But then I've been disappointed with that storyline completely this season. I want more British Men of Letters. I'm intrigued enough.

That does sound like a great turn of events. It wouldn't be supernatural if they just simply had to break out of federal prison. I wasn't impressed with the Lucifer situation during this season, especially the ending. Very anti climactic. When it came down to it I generally saw Lucifer as someone with incredible power and incredible evil or persuasive powers at least and instead he came across in this season as a whiny little toddler who couldn't get his own way. Might be just me and my opinions but he didn't seem right to me.

I am getting tired of Lucifer. Am I the only one here, who is so bored that they have kept him around so long. I was hoping last season would be the end of Angels, Lucifer and God storylines. It is bringing down the show.
As for Mary, well I get they can't keep her in all episodes. She isn't a regular. But she needs to be mentioned as contacting her sons off-screen. I feel they are going to make it very anti climactic and give her an emotional scene with her boys and kill her off at the end of season 12.

I will say off the bat that I will not be reading this thread (other than to see if anyone responded to me, or if anyone wants to discuss stuff prior to season nine with me), but it's not because I'm not interested. It's because I super careful about spoilers and when the show is halfway through season twelve and you are on season nine . . . there will be spoilers. That's just how it goes. I don't know what season I started watching on (two or three though, because I remember the suspense of getting to the end of season three), but this show is special to me, because I watch it with my sister. This is also why I am so far behind. Neither of us watches any of it without the other (although I think she would agree that we could rewatch episodes if we wanted without the other) and we don't live in the same house and our schedules don't always work together, so I buy DVDs (or BluRays, I have some of each) and we have mini marathons, two to six episodes at a time.
Not knowing what's happened in the three seasons I haven't seen, I really, really want closure for Adam's situation, because that poor guy.
My sister thinks I'm crazy, but I kind of love episodes that involve the in world fandom for the Supernatural books (I would love to get copies of those books. I wish they existed) or situations where they actually cross into our world with Supernatural a TV show and they are supposed to be actors. I had great fun watching "The French Mistake."

Okay then if you haven't seen this show then where have you been not only is it great but also the longest running CW show on air currently. Anyway if you haven't then the general gist here is there are two brothers Sam and Dean Winchester who are trained monster hunters whom go after supernatural beings and kill them. They range from demons to Vampires and Wendigo's to ghosts amongst other things which they've done since a young age subsequent to their mother being murdered by a yellow eyed demon. Their father John became a hunter afterwards and spent years tracking him down which he did when Sam and Dean were young adults. Early seasons revolved around the "Monster Of The Week" type storylines and the later ones on overall themes. Season 4 introduced Angels including someone called Castiel whom I don't need to explain about but if you don't know him just google him you can't miss him really. So what do people think of this show then? Do you prefer the earlier seasons to the later ones? What's been your favourite storyline/storylines then? What do you think of the way Supernatural's portrayed mythology? And who's your favourite character then or has been? Yes the show is phenomenal. I own the first eight seasons and it blows me away with what they achieved. The brothers have amazing chemistry and the storylines stayed pretty strong.

Video from Entertainment Tonight with Matt Cohen (Young John Winchester) interviewing Jensen and Jared on their views about Supernatural ending. www.youtube.com/watch?v=991NNINcQ6QLoved the video watching Matt interviewing J1 and J2. Very funny and sad at times which you see on both actors faces knowing what's coming then.

But best to end now on a high I think before the show gets too stale or the leads too old to play the characters obviously.

I liked Supernatural's first three seasons or so. But when they introduced angels, it started to feel a little preachy, like they got in some hardcore Christians, and I felt really uncomfortable. When they started with the god, heaven, and hell themes in Supernatural, that about killed it for me.

Yes, I admit the show ran longer than it should've even though I loved it more the earlier seasons than the latter ones because it would've ended after season 5 had season 6 not been renewed after the apocalypse storyline which was a proper roadmap with Yellow Eyes and his special kids then the seals being broken so Lucifer was free from his cage plus Sam and Dean being Michael and Lucie's vessels then though there were some things, later on, I did like for e.g. the Wayward sisters and Jack though I understand why other fans wouldn't like certain things especially when the show went on and on like the energizer battery.

Me too. I gotta get back to my series rewatch. I stopped in 2022 around April. I'll get back to it eventually. Lol
