What are your favorite shows from the 90s (or that started at least in the 90s that carried on to the 00s) apart from Charmed. Seen quite a few members of the past who missed this era and felt tv was good back then.
Note: I was unable to make polls in the other fandoms board. It said you cant in that board. So i put it here until it can be fixed if can.

Friends was the strip before the evening news, the TV was on while we were setting, all my big family, 3 people on.y, watched and liked it
Senfield was a my parent's passion, I also got into a few years later And naturally I loved The Simpson
Regarding the other shows mentioned, I saw Buffy but, as a teenager, I judged very trivial the characters, ridiculous the vampires and decidedly unsympathetic the kicking slayer
I was afraid of X files, so I watched it with my mom, she loved Scully's character
I love Ally Mcbeal's first three seasons, then the show became messed up and repetitive, Constance Burge worsened it permanently
Er and Twin Peaks seasons 1-3 were intriguing, then I stopped watching, ER got boring, Twin Peaks absurd
Never watched the others

This was tough. I went with Buffy, ER and Friends.
My number one is probably Angel. (Although I guess it was only just in the 90s, to be fair)
Ones I watched and liked, but eliminated:
Xena- loved it, but I recall it getting a bit too nuts towards the end.
Ally McBeal- I thought the first two seasons were great (Season 1's 'Boy to the World' and Season 2's 'Angels and Blimps' have always stuck in my mind as fantastic, thought provoking television). After that I think they played on the "controversy" too much and it lost a lot of it's heart trying too hard to be "edgy".
Sabrina- I loved Hilda, Zelda and Salem, but Sabrina herself really got on my nerves. Plus I think after season 3 things feels a bit laboured and it goes up and down a lot.
Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, Felicity- all very watchable, but they don't stick in my mind a lot.
I've actually just started watching The X-Files, so I'll see how that goes.

I only watched eightish of those shows (and several shows I did watch aren't on that list) and of those eight (the ninth I only watched hit and miss and wouldn't rewatch today given the opportunity, I only watched seven of them during the 90s.
Star Trek: Voyager - Not listed, but probably the show I watched the most, unless you count... Road to Avolea - Something my whole family adored at the time.
Thank Goodness It's Friday, because it's time to watch some of our favorite shows on TGIF including Family Matters, Step-by-Step, Full House and of course both Boy Meets World and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. (We also enjoyed Teen Angel, You Wish, and Two of a Kind but they didn't last long and for a while we enjoyed The Hughleys, but the show lasted longer than our interest in it did.)
Of course there's also Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Sister Sister, and I really really want to rewatch Smart Guy. There's always 7 Days. I miss that show so much. And there's Christy. And what about some of my water shows like SeaQuest DSV and Ocean Girl? Or maybe I should mention Early Edition.
And there are a lot of cartoons and there is Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (didn't get into anything that couldn't directly connect back to that, so I think I quit watching after Lost In Space or something like that).
And may I say that I adored J*A*G*.
Did I mention that I watch a lot of television and most of it is DVDs of 90s shows?
(I voted for Lois and Clark, Boy Meets World, and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. I also watched Home Improvement, Stargate: SG1, Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, Xena: Warrior Princess, and a smattering of Roseanne, although I don't think I watched enough episodes to make up an entire season. I've watched more Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, but I didn't watch that in the 90s or when it aired at all).
I think my favorite show from the 90s was not one of those I've mentioned above, although I loved them all (well, most of them). I think perhaps it was another show, one called Ghostwriter.

I knew only a few of the quoted series I voted Friends, Senfield and X File, I watched also Ally Mcbeal, I like only the first two seasons, Twin Peaks, which should have been shorter and less chaotic, but I appreciate the grey atmosphere, ER first season, a newness in rhythms and characters, but I don't like medical stories I watched Buffy also, but I am not, I never was, a big fan of teenagers stories, it was a kind of Dawson Creek (of which I saw three episodes, more than enough) with vampires and I love only Anne Rice style vampires
Never seen Hercules or Xena, I don't like the series related to myths, generally misused
I don't watch a lot of TV, but I like the after 2001 series better

Absolutely loved Xena as a kid!She was my hero, I wanted to be her. I remember begging dad at one point to tape it for me for some reason. Sabrina was another favourite and Buffy was also a favourite. Can still enjoy watching them now as a 25 year old.

By the 90's, I was pretty much just watching channels like ESPN, TV Land, TLC, Court TV, The Game Network and PAX, so I didn't watch a lot of these. Most of these I watched one or two episodes and went "Nope, not for me." The exceptions were Voyager, 7th Heaven and Charmed, all of which I never missed.
