Was The Seer in love with The Source when Cole became him or was she always out to become the next Source after she helped vanquished him in "Charmed & Dangerous"?

I think she was always gunning to be the Source.
She just lurked in the background until she saw the right opportunity to strike.

The Seer didn't love The Source, she tolerated him. She just knew where she had to be in order to keep a position of power and authority.
In universe, yes, I do personally believe that The Seer had rigged the whole game. I can totally believe her being that calculated and devious, 100%. That's why I loved her. She was smart, she was understated, she was patient. She was Lady Macbeth, without the pesky humanity getting in the way.
Whether or not the writers always planned it that way, I don't know... I would've thought that she might warrant an actual name if they'd seen her as an endgame villain for the season.

I don't think she ever wanted to be the Source because she knew that the one sitting on the throne would always be the target. I think she just wanted the Phoetus so she could be the power behind the throne - and she'd use anyone - the Source, Cole, whoever - to get the power she craved. It's why I truly don't believe a word she says so since she's the only who thought Cole was possessed by the essence of the Source and not just influenced by the powers of the Source (and the Seer herself), I don't think he ever was - her words just gave him the permission he needed to be a strong evil demon again with Phoebe as his wife and their child as his heir as compared to a weak, useless mortal.

In my fanfic I made her a demon child of Hecate who was abused and mistreated by her mother until she rebelled and came to serve under The Source, she then forsaw the Charmed Ones and knew the only way to beat them would be to absorb The Source's power to use for herself.
But in the show yes, I believe she had always planned it, she had her visions and her schemes.

The old Source had first his Oracle but she was killed by Cole. Maybe then the Seer stepped up and did all to gain more power and a better position in the underworld, even becoming the new Source by taking Phoebe's child.

If the Seer was always better than the Oracle, why did the Source bother with the Oracle after all.
This sounds like the Oracle was created as part of the hasty rewrite of Season Four which happened in the wake of Shannen's firing.

And then there was Kira. Where did she fit in?
Since canon was silent on that issue, I revealed, in the Rex and Hannah Chronicles, that Kira had been the apprentice to the original Seer. When the original Seer was vanquished, Kira was "promoted" to full Seer (whether she wanted to be or not).

They were the only parts of S4 that I liked - that and 'Charmed Again, Part One' (not Part Two) and 'Trial by Magic'. |
