For the show's 6th season, due to air this September, Oded Fehr (Charmed's Zankou) has been cast in the role of evil sorcerer Jafar.
A preview of him is up on YouTube for anyone who's interested.

Also if there are any Buffy fans around, James Marsters (Spike) is also joining the series, but I don't think there have been any details about his character shared yet.

I can't say I was all that excited after season 5, but I must admit, I am intrigued to see how it turns out. Looking forward to seeing Oded play a villain again.

I was sad to see Naveen couldn't return, but I had a good feeling Oded is going to make a great Jafar!

I saw the clip on YouTube and I already love him. It's gotten me pretty hyped for this season, because frankly, they needed a really good villain in my opinion. After mopey Dark Swan and painful to watch Hades, I needed a villain I can enjoy and I think Oded may well provide that.
