Nice to see this much-maligned episode get some love... Although I agree that having Patty as the flower child would've made much more sense, what they did with it was fun. Of that trilogy mentioned, I liked this a lot better than 'Forever Charmed.' But of course of those three "That Seventies Episode" is my favorite. Kinda cool that Grams was part of all three...

Patty'ld have been the protagonist, she had more or less the right age but Patty is a sweet woman, sympathetic and quiet, and the sarcastic and funny dialogues between Chris and Grams'ld never existed Grams and Chris are the best part of the episode: Chris is not used to being treated like a rookie, Grams, as always, takes charge, after all, they are only males, although Leo is an Elder, this doen't raise any respect in Penny
Witchstock is full of mistakes but it's really funny

Sure the episode has issues, but Grams (present-day) was fun. I quite enjoyed her in this one.
Now please help me everyone, but was this the last episode to feature Warlocks?

I disliked it intensely. One, where is Patty? Two, this episode revealed that the name of the sisters' grandfather is inconsistent. A Season 2 episode revealed that his name was Jack. In this episode, his name is Allen. Confused. Three, Darryl's father was a member of the Black Panthers . . . and yet, Darryl managed to become a police officer, rising to the rank of lieutenant? The episode featured the wrong version of the Motown song, "Get Ready". The episode featured Rare Earth's 1970 version, not the Temptations' 1966 version. And the episode is set in 1967.
Most of all, I thought the plot was pretty dumb.

If the sisters had changed their past, why didn't the future or present in that case change too? And not only the person. That doesn't make sense. Besides, I have a headache. Again.

That really is odd. I wished they did show this more. Same case in All Halliwell's Eve right, if the past changed? Oh man don't these writers ever think of how interesting it would of been to explore. I always would of wanted to see an episode where the past got changed so much - that we got a 2-parter where we see the changes - before the Charmed Ones have to go back in time to put things right. Instead we got stuck with episodes where it was just the sisters trying to prevent the death of a Charmed One.

Past cannot change, all it happens just happened Yuo can pop in a diferent timeline, provoke this timeline but not change the past

Actually, the last episode to feature a warlock was Season Six, episode twenty one. He was a part of the gameshow and tried to kill Phoebe at The Bay Mirror. In Season Eight, Generation Hex had a warlock in it but it was through a flashback.

Past cannot change, all it happens just happened Yuo can pop in a diferent timeline, provoke this timeline but not change the past The timeline can change. It can't change. It all depends upon the writer and the latter's ability or inability to be flexible in regard to a time travel story.

I'm studying Feynman' theory of the paths sums, in quantum mechanics the observed present is an amalgam, a kind of average of all the past compatible with what we observe
So I believe in the concept of the multiverse, the multiple realities caused by different choices, and I think that Chris generated a new reality, different from that, coexisting, where Wyatt was still evil

There is a nice thread where we talked of different timeline but I think the same, I'm a Stephen Hawking fan
I rewatched Witchstock last Sunday, Grams Leo and Chris are tight knit and fun, they worth an entire episode
I also like the idea of the group of the witches in peace and love version
If not for the apparent discrepancy of the dates and for the dumb past version of Leo it'ld be a good episode

In other words, it depends upon the writer.

I feel the same as the other poster. Its one of the better season six eps, but it felted it was limited and needed some work. I guess since they split it between past and present time they were on the clock and didn't get to explore the summer of love. CA was the birth place of the hippy movement and it should've been explored more. Also I felt Grams should've been struggling with her feelings between her husband and the necromancer, Patty being a hippy, seeing Patience and Phoebe the cousins from the ep where Phoebe sees her past life and finally grams none magical brother Gordon.
I always felt that The necromancer had a hand in Gordon's death and that lead to her becoming the grams we knew.

Oh! Featuring the Necromancer, Past Prue and Past Piper (I refuse to call them by non-canon names...but one of them, whichever is P. Baxter - and that's not known - would be Grams' mother) and ESPECIALLY non-magical Gordon would've helped make this a much better episode!
Even showing that Patty's a teenager (even if Penny looked too young to have one) would've made it all seem more real.

It wasn't the worst of S6 that I can say. Was this the last episode of the series to feature warlocks even if in the past.

Disclaimer: S5-S8 are more "fluff" seasons (to me) not meant to make any sense, be consistent nor read too much into it, compared to their S1-S4 counterparts. That being said, I take Witchstock for what it is without thinking about it, too much.
It's a fun episode that touched up on some real life nostalgia. Not one of the best episodes, but it's not the worst, either. I don't mind watching it, but there are definite better S6 episodes than this one, but I don't mind watching it for the "fluff".
