Based on my earlier polls asking about each season, now a spin-off on each sister. So Wondering about Phoebe Season 1.
What was your reaction towards Phoebe during Season One the first time you watched her in the season and what is your reaction to her during season 1 today? Just choose one choice.

Well this girls opinion has not changed and has remained the same for over a decade. Still loved her then dear, and still love her now dear.
Phoebe was just such a fun character in season 1 - I adore her passion for magic, her spirit and her relationship re-building with Prue as the season went on.

Her behavior sometimes drives me nuts, but I can't not love her free-spirited nature and complete uncaring about living a normal life. She has an amazing energy and willingness to do good. She possesses a certain kind of innocence here. Street smart, but not jaded by life.

I'm assuming you're asking us what we thought of Phoebe in Season One when we first watched it and what we think of her in Season One now, since she's so different in Season Three through Eight.
She was absolutely my favorite sister in Season One and in Season One she still is.
So I voted I still love her.

She worked as this free-spirit girl who cared about innocents. Also the character was kind of providing a comic relief in the first season. I liked her, though it's really hard to rewatch while knowing what will happen in the future seasons.

I have loved Phoebe since the beginning. I have loved them all since the beginning, though. I don't really think I've ever disliked any of the sisters. Oh, I wish I could say "Ditto"!!! However when it comes to Season One, I think I'll always love all three sisters, especially once Prue gets the stick out of her ass! I wanted to slug her a few times with the way she treated Phoebs! |

Even though I have always liked them all, I can definitely see what you are talking about, and how Prue treated Phoebe. I think it was her just being a bossy big sister at times, other times, I think it was her just being bossy.  |

Still love her. Phoebe was my favorite in S1 and still is. She's a joy to watch how she comes to accept being a witch, loving it, and her growth over S1. She's so much fun to watch when she isn't attached to a long-term love interest. She always makes me smile when I watch her in S1 and S2 than anything that comes after.

Still love and admire her. We were given an amazing and fun character. She immediately was my favorite the second she opened the book of shadows.
Her whole story and connecting with Prue again, makes S1 special. I just wish this Phoebe had been around longterm. I have trouble rewatching some of the later seasons and seeing who she became.

I really liked Phoebe in season one, but I didn't start loving her until season two my first time watching. Now I absolutely love her in season one! I think I have more patience for some of her bad decisions and a better understanding of the insecurity in her life at the time. I definitely mourned the loss of her free-spirit, optimism, and both her strong desire to do what was right and her solid personal values. I think it was perfect that she was the prodigal sister returning home in the beginning, because she was absolutely necessary as the changing force to push the other two, and not just literally by opening the Book of Shadows and embracing their duties.

Back when I first watched it I didn't think much of it, but now that I've had time to reflect I loved Phoebe in season 1 and still do to this day. Season 1 Phoebe was enjoyable to watch. Her free spirit, her love of witchcraft and wanting magic to be an escential part of their lives. She could go a bit overboard with using magic for personal reasons, but that's also what made her interesting. Even from the family perspective you have her feeling like the baby of the family, not experiencing their mother, getting the short end of the power stick and even how Prue views her as the still irresponsible troublemaker. It made her bad decisions and insecurities much more bearable to watch because of how she was working to change who she was in her past life and her bad decisions mostly come from her love of magic.
She even added some funny lines to the campiness of the earlier seasons. Phoebe also not holding a job made her very relatable as well. I feel as if Season 1 and 2 Phoebe could be relatable to a lot of younger siblings of their families. Her development with Prue is my favorite family aspect in the whole show.
Season 2 she was hands down the absolute best sister, all of that was expanded upon in Season 2 and proves to be just as useful without an active power. Its such a shame how drastically different she is in Season 1 and especially Season 2 compared to her season 3-8 self where her personal values became much more of a driving force for her over her magical duties, y'know the reason Phoebe was passionate to begin with? And she never struck as being more romantically involved, in season 2 episode "Heartbreak City" it shows how she's much less willing to open her heart to love and struggled finding someone, but never let it dictate her personal desires. In Season 3-8? All she obsesses over is men, lets her love life centralize her entire persona (when she isn't focusing on her column) and has an ego the size of the milky way.

Still love her. In our S1 rewatches on the board, I'm still liking her as much as I did back then with now. Can't wait for more.
She's a free spirit, fun, loving, loves helping people, offering some advise, and also her love of magic. I just adore this Phoebe, when she is written as intended with her sisters, like Connie, Edie, and Laura, not the way Kern, Holly and Alyssa saw the sisters later on.
And, for sure she was reliable to people, and the beloved fan fav with viewers at the time of originally airing.
She just keeps getting better entering S2, and I can't wait for the board re-watch of S2 to start, so I can see more of this Phoebe.
