Based on my earlier polls asking about each season, now a spin-off on each sister. So wondering about Prue Season 1.
What was your reaction towards Prue during Season One the first time you watched her in the season and what is your reaction to her during season 1 today? Just choose one choice.

When I first watched this season I was only 12, so I didn't like her much. However, watching it now I have so much respect for her character. In this season she's a little rude at times, but I've come to see that it was her personality combined with her responsibilities that made her that way.
I remember in The Power of Two where she's facing difficulties at work with her boss, and then Andy finds out about the truth spell, and then Phoebe has her outburst at her. And Prue just stands there and takes it. I thought, this is a woman who needs a hug. No matter what happened, she was always professional and in control, and tended to be right about most things. I really look up to her.

I'm assuming that you're asking what we thought of Prue during Season One when we first watched it and what we think of Season One Prue now, since like Piper and Phoebe, she's so different in the other seasons.
For me, I didn't like Prue at all the first time I watched it - too much shoved in our faces as the star when I much preferred Piper and Phoebe, too uptight, too bossy, hypocritical, too...too...EWW! I also think that because this was the first time I saw Shannen Doherty act and I'd read so many horrible things about her while I'd seen and loved Holly Marie Combs in "Picket Fences" and Alyssa Milano in "Who's the Boss?", I was thoroughly prepared to hate Prue, so that's probably what got me started. I don't think I ever hated her, but I didn't like her.
Like all Halliwells in love, I didn't like her in love, especially keeping her secret from Andy for so long - and casting a personal-gain spell to find out what he thought.
But the more I rewatch it, the more I do like her, because it's fun watching her start out that way but then turn into someone who truly cares and protects her younger sisters...maybe too much, which is why they change so much after her death.
So I voted disliked her, now like her.

I didn't like her in the early episodes, way too bossy and very annoying. It took quite some time to warm up to her but by the season's end, she was my favourite sister until Paige came around. This is still the issue with Prue while rewatching s1, she is annoying and unlikeable until "The Witch Is Back".

Piper was actually my favorite character when I first watched season one, and Prue probably my least (though I didn't dislike her), but I did find her character compelling. I thought she could be bossy, but I also saw that it was coming from a life that taught her that she had to take charge and couldn't bring herself to trust anybody else to do so, at least not to her exacting demands. Honestly, I think I would have disliked her were I younger and less familiar with how hard it can be to balance one's own life and relationships.
But she definitely won me over in the first episode when she bodily put herself between Jeremy and her sisters and distracted him so that the other two could gain more distance away from him, even though she was new and reluctant to her powers and Jeremy was obviously looking to kill. To me, that was an ultimate gesture of love and responsibility that spoke to me of her as a person, especially since we'd seen her earlier attitude toward Phoebe, but her present conflict with Phoebe at the time didn't change how she behaved there.

I was going to vote, but I might wait until we finish our S1 re-watch to do these for all the sisters.

I used to like her even when I watched the first time but love her now. I particularly like her protectiveness over Phoebe in the episode 'Feats of Clay' and wish that protectiveness had lasted. Cole wouldn't have been able to hurt Phoebe if it had.

Cole wouldn't have been able to hurt Phoebe if it had. I think the protectiveness was still there. There were two reasons why Prue was more relaxed with Cole. 1) Prue was just tired of always fighting with phoebe over her relationships. She was just at a point where she would only butt in if it affected them as sisters. 2) Prue knew Cole loved phoebe and wouldn’t harm her, after she had felt his heart in “Primrose Empath”

But Cole did harm Phoebe multiple times. Ok, most of it was after Prue's death but still.

I was going to mention that. If prue was around when Cole went all source, she would have done a 360 on him and probably would have figured him out sooner. Paige did kind of figure Cole out but she wasn’t strong enough to confront him in a way prue would have.

The thing is the only way to stop Cole from hurting Phoebe would have been to advise Phoebe against marrying him when she was double-minded and had "cold feet". Prue protected Phoebe from being hurt by Clay too much by standing firm.
