I was literally just thinking earlier today about how I can't see Phoebe as a mother, nor did she ever particularly seem to care to be one. I think she would've made a wonderful aunt, though, the fun sort of aunt and the kind who the kids would go to if they didn't feel comfortable talking to their parents. And she was an amazing aunt as we have seen in Season 5-8. Actually, I loved aunt Phoebe so much. The few moments in S5 that were cute to see was her acting like an aunt or getting excited about Piper having a child. If only they had kept this at the end of the series. Not all three sisters had to have children of their own. Why can't someone be perfectly happy being single or childless, I'm in my 30s and still childless. It's not for everyone. You're right about that. One of my all-time favorite scenes in Charmed is her playing with Little Wyatt in Season 8. I'm 64, never had kids; never been married but I have 12 nieces and nephews and I'm their favorite aunt. I could see either Prue or Phoebe playing that role - for totally different reasons and in totally different ways. And I'm glad I never had a kid - I have a hunch if the kid acted up the way Wyatt did with the dragon, I'd drown him!

I used to think the same about my friends kids years ago. Would always lecture them on what to do with their kids and how to discipline them until I had my own and my perspective on a lot of things changed. I remember in season 2 when the sisters took care of the baby in “Reckless Abandon”. Wasn’t it Piper who had such a hard time and didn’t want anything to do with the baby. But look what happened after she had hers. Phoebe was the one who was more into Matthew the baby but it seems like years later she wasn’t that much into babies anymore. I remember in an episode sometime in season 5 when phoebe hands over a baby to piper with a sort of attitude like she had no time for them.

Yet another proof that S4-8 is an alternate-universe spin-off where the only similarities is the NAMES of the characters! I swear the new writers in S4-8 never even watched the earlier seasons so they had any idea what the characters were supposed to be like. I'm sure the reboot will be similar where we won't recognize our Halliwells in any of the Pruitts.
Of course a lot of the reason is when Holly and Alyssa became producers after Season Five and turned their own characters into idealized versions of themselves, like Holly becoming a mother and Alyssa wanting a baby and not being able to conceive until the series was over, so different than the Phoebe and Piper who were based on Connie Burge and one of her sisters, the way Prue was based on her other sister, not Shannen.
Funny, I've never told my siblings or friends how to discipline their kids - I just know when they act up, I send them back to their parents.

Let me just say Season 2 Phoebe is my absolute favorite character in Charmed. None of the sisters reached their peak the way Season 2 Phoebe did, she's so much fun in this season that I love her a lot! I can never get enough over hearing her come up with ideas to defeat demons (one of my favorites being her plan against Masselin in The Devil's Music youtu.be/czozftCbPfA?t=87 ) I also love her look in this season, her shoulder length brown hair with a tan really suited her increased free spirit and I wish she kept this look throughout the show. My favorite Phoebe scene was her talking how much she'd always want to be a witch youtu.be/b2Z7Mw_8LZ8?t=52 or how the very first scene of Witch Trial is her excitement of celebrating their 1 year anniversary of being witches youtu.be/ByrHbct_aWM?t=95. Or how about when she used her martial arts and spell casting to save the day in The Painted World? youtu.be/u4quCBoJe8E?t=200 This is the Phoebe that is my favorite of course I loved her before and I adore her now. She's still my favorite character and I don't associate the Phoebe that came after to be our Phoebes.. Season 3-8 Phoebe is a completely selfish, self centered person who priorities herself above everything else and completely destroyed my favorite character.

For me it’s all the episodes from season 1 until Cole. Those were the times when she was still in school or looking for a job. And also they were the times phoebe kept her sisters in check and constantly reminded them about the seriousness of being a charmed one and the consequences of miss using magic. As well as the times when she used to have friendly innocent fights over men with her sisters. When she would like a guy only because her sisters were into them or liked them, but she hand no interest in dating them.😊
But once Cole came into the picture the corruption or her pure innocence and goodness began.

Season 3-8 Phoebe is a completely selfish, self centered person who priorities herself above everything else and completely destroyed my favorite character. Your quota is the same as mine. All the reasons stated is why Season 2 Phoebe was a great character. She's easily the most developed of the sisters and her love of witchcraft was the best part about her character. I to loved the scene in Witch Trial where she wanted to celebrate their 1 year anniversary of becoming witches and hearing her be the voice of reason for them being witches. She would even be the first one up and ready for a vanquish anytime they had to fight evil and seeing her be a college student that couldn't hold a job could be a relateable attribute. I agree Season 3-8 Phoebe is my least favorite character. She lost her sense of likability and free spirit. Its so hard to watch her in later episodes without getting annoyed at how selfish she is. The same applies for Piper too, but I find Phoebe more consistent annoying.

From season transitions none of them were as strong or as developed as Season 2 Phoebe. I just rewatched the Prue Seasons and this is by far Phoebe's best season and I loved her a lot. She honestly would've been my favorite sister had Cole not ruined her character *sigh* she's literally the best part of 95% of episodes this season. I loved her hairstyle in Witch Trial along with her tan suited her the best and easily brought out the best of her "youngest sister" dynamic. The way she's so involved with magic and always making plans to demon vanquish never ceases to put a smile on my face. Chick Flick hands down is Phoebe's best episode with everything good about her character bundled up in one package.
In my opinion Phoebe became the true heart of the family in Season 2 always making sure being witches was the most important goal while keeping a free spirit. I also like how with a couple of exceptions Phoebe has little to no romance involvement.
My favorite moments from her this season are
-First scene of Witch Trial where she comes home just to talk with her sisters the celebration of them becoming witches and her excitement about it -Her rant speech to Prue when she's grieving over Andy -Her convincing Prue they need to stay witches -Her line "We've done a lot of good as witches too" -Her making a plan to vanquish Masselin in "The Devil's Music" -Her entire role in "Chick Flick" -Phoebe using Martial Arts against the warlock Malcolm in "The Painted World" -Her journey in "Morality Bites" -Her realization to not choose Prue over the world in Apocalypse Not -Her premonition of Patty's death in P3 H20
