I felt inspired dear by our recent conversations in many threads. So decided to start this poll and discussion with the Cafe.
Which sister pairing did you feel dears had the most interesting relationship and which one you loved the most?
Just for fun - I added Prue and Paige for those who did like what they did with them in the comics dear.

I chose Prue/Phoebe and Piper/Paige. I liked it best when these two sets argued and butted heads.
Really, though, I like all the pairs. Prue and Piper are clearly the closest in terms of just getting along. Phoebe and Paige bonded quickly, which was sweet. And Piper and Phoebe have known each other their whole lives, the longest out of anyone due to the fact that Prue dies and they don't meet Paige until their 20s. But while I liked to see everyone get along, it would be boring if there weren't some friction now and then, and so I chose the two pairs I did.
I loved Prue and Phoebe together because as sisters who had grown up together, they had that unbreakable bond no matter what the other did to make them mad. They could have a screaming fight and it wouldn't damage their relationship in the long term. They were so different, yet each had traces of the other's personality hidden inside them.
And I loved Piper and Paige together because of the struggles they faced when dealing with one another, and I loved watching them get closer as the series progressed (although never close enough for me--I would have liked to see them bond more after enough time passed). Prue and Phoebe knew each other as adults and kids; Piper and Paige only as adults. It was an interesting dynamic.

I actually found Phoebe and Prue to be my favorite pairing dears. As I mentioned before in other threads. They just had this relationship that I really found interesting. The bond they started to form was the best part of season 1, and the episode The Power of Two is such a blessing to have been made. I admit to feeling so upset Shannen left before the storyline potential of season 4 could play out with Prue.
I also like Piper and Paige because they have a interesting dynamic I liked watching and of course dears Piper and Prue have the best chemistry mostly due to Shannen and Holly being best friends, so I adore them too.
If a sister had to die for Paige to come and I could kill off anybody - I would actually choose to kill Piper. Only because I felt a combination of Prue, Phoebe and Paige has the most interesting potential. Especially to see Prue mourning the loss of her best friend Piper, and to see where the Prue and Phoebe relationship goes without Piper around.
Of course I adore the original power of three dears. But I just felt loosing Prue, really cut short all the story potential's of her and Phoebe going forward.
If I had to rank them all (and not Prue and Paige since I haven't seen them yet in the comics) it would be; 1. Prue and Phoebe 2. Prue and Piper 3. Piper and Paige 4. Piper and Phoebe 5. Phoebe and Paige

I have to agree that Prue/Phoebe and Piper/Paige were the best pairings. The oldest/youngest dynamic was more interesting to watch because they could clash so fantastically but could also be the closest when the chips were thrown down.

Prue and Phoebe had the most interesting relationship. It was more enjoyable to watch them clash sometimes, because come on how boring would it be to see all the sisters acting as happy and peaceful like Prue and Piper. Boring TV. LOL

It was more enjoyable to watch them clash sometimes, because come on how boring would it be to see all the sisters acting as happy and peaceful like Prue and Piper. Boring TV. LOL I didn't find Prue and Piper boring at all - I loved their relationship as sisters just as much as I loved Prue and Phoebe's - especially once Prue and Phoebe were friends, part of why 1x11: Secrets and Guys through 2x15: Give Me a Sign is my favorite "season" of Charmed - I don't like Prue before it and I don't like Piper after it, although I still liked the relationships between the sisters. The relationship I didn't like was any with Paige. It would've been fun to see Phoebe and Paige develop the relationship Prue and Piper had, but Phoebe was too busy trying to find the next guy to screw to truly gain a relationship with Paige, just like it would've been more fun if Paige had tried to take over as leader (which as an Only Child she should've) and Piper not letting her, because it would've reminded her too much of Prue. Paige and Piper was my least-favorite relationship because it felt fake. Piper only wanted Paige for her ability to be part of the Power of Three than as a sister or a friend. Each time she treated her like a friend or a sister, it was like the writers were saying, "Oh, yeah, Piper and Paige are supposed to be friends now" and it felt fake. It's all why I prefer the first three seasons when they were sisters who happened to be witches and not demon-hunters who happened to live in the same house and happened to be related. The only time Phoebe and Piper seemed to be sisters was in early Season Four when they mourned Prue and then with the boys. Otherwise, all of them seemed more like acquaintances rather than sisters, and since that - sisterhood - was supposed to be the foundation of the show, I didn't like the changes, and still don't. It's why I like S9 of the comics - they seem more like sisters again despite husband and kids and demons, something missing in S10 and that I hope will be back in S11, if that's what Dynamite Comics decides to do.

I see where you are coming from 100%. I will probably have people here coming at me with pitchforks but I hate Hell Hath No Fury for the reason they tried to make us forget about Prue and the comment it is okay to hate Prue drives me crazy. Piper calling Paige her sister didn't make sense, but calling her a friend would. You barely meet the woman, who starts calling a stranger a sister after a couple of weeks. Big No. I take back my previous comment. When I mean boring, I mean boring as in I don't want every sister to be like Prue and Piper with a happy relationship. I like some conflict. I hope I am making sense?

Of course craig conflicts good. Adds drama to things which doesn't make them boring constantly.

Piper and Prue -- most organic and sincere of any sisterly relationship on the show, in my opinion. Phoebe's initial contumaciousness makes for a gripping sequence of character progression, but her jittery childishness also makes it difficult to take her seriously at times. It's the contrasting demeanour of Prue that helps make scenes with her so enjoyable when sibling interaction is at the forefront. With the introduction of Paige, this dynamic is irrevocably changed as she doesn't have the same type of relationship with Piper and Paige is more or less the same variety of character as herself.

Prue and Phoebe, they were diametrically opposed so their relationship was intriguing

Prue and Piper and Phoebe and Prue. Both had a really interesting relationship completely different to each other.

I actually really liked Piper's and Paige's relationship in season 8. They were always there for each other (like the mess with Leo and Paige's problems with Henry). It was very supportive on both ends and they liked to have banter, which happened less with Piper and Phoebe because she moved out (right after Leo was frozen too!)

I'm going with Prue and Phoebe, I love Piper and Prue of course and they are number 2, but Prue and Phoebe had more conflicts which of course makes good television, but when they were getting along and such, they were a pleasure to watch.
And with Paige and Piper, I don't know, I just didn't think it came naturally. Actually, Paige's relationships with her new sisters came across as forced, and really things happened too quickly for me to believe they all cared for each other so soon, only for the sack of the Charmed Ones.

Prue and Phoebe hands down had the best sisterly chemistry. While I liked them all, I think Phoebe and Prue (at least in the first two seasons before Phoebe became all about Cole) had an interesting dynamic. When the show first begins you instantly feel the disconnect between them, Prue dislikes the irresponsible, reckless and immature Phoebe. While Phoebe is trying hard to stir away from that persona she use to be.
This allowed for some of the best character clash moments in the show. Some of my favorite sisterly moments involve Prue and Phoebe arguing over weather or not Phoebe's still the same immature, reckless person it adds layers to the dynamic and showcases growth to both characters. Them being witches in their experience and getting to reestablish a connection they lost long ago was an arc I was glad I got to experience throughout seasons 1 and 2. In fact it's the reason The Power of Two from season 1 is such a strong episode and touches on this very issue. Prue and Phoebe had the best developments in the show during seasons 1 and 2. Prue already had a strong connect to Piper, while Piper connected with them both in different ways.
In Season 3 their fighting didn't seem like natural fighting, but the actual actresses projecting their increasing hatred of one another onscreen. As well as PhoeME being born in replace of Phoebe. Which their scenes mostly revolved around how selfish Phoebe was being around Cole, it felt like a step backwards in their dynamic. Meanwhile Prue and Piper are seen more together. (Though the finale showcased how strong they cared for one another)
Then we cut to Season 4 Piper and Paige. Probably the last good dynamic the show had before it became about PhoeME and her Advice Column and Whinper with her kids. Even though it's small, Season 4 Piper and Paige had a dynamic I liked that sort felt like a rival to Prue/Phoebe dynamic from the first two seasons. Rather than one trying to recover from who she use to be and the other still holding those same thoughts, we get one who's unsure of her powers, destiny and comes from a different family/while trying to fit the shoes of Prue and the other just learning to fit the shoes of being the leader and the responsible one, not even thinking she was fit for the role. After Hell Hath No Fury where Piper accepts Paige, we get Piper's growth into being the head witch by the means of her teaching Paige the ropes, then there's their conversions while Phoebe turns to the dark side, showcasing how more understanding Piper is willing to listen to of Paige.
During Bite Me they have a conversation about Piper being afraid of not being able to have kids, showcasing how much she's open to Paige's opinions. Then there's their conversation at the end where her old beliefs about Cole being connected to evil start to arises and once again sements Piper's willingness to open up to Paige's opinions.
Anyways those are my thoughts on the matter. Really any sister dynamic from Seasons 1-3 works. (Especially Seasons 1 and 2) The later seasons didn't really have much, since they all felt more like 3 roommates than three sisters imo.

Piper and Phoebe might be the least interesting, they had great moments, but some reason they seem to work better when they have Prue around then. I don't know why they are really just there. But, my opinion has changed slightly after starting a re-watch of S1.
I re-watched S1's first two episodes, and yes the sisterly relationship is perfect. I especially love Phoebe and how great she is offering some advice and helping out Prue come to terms with being a witch and Piper in the attic being scared she is evil.
So now, I just like all the sisterly stuff in S1, and if I keep watching, maybe I'll like all the set of relationships between then equally after re-watching S1.
I just think the sisters really didn't feel sisterly later on. And that is when Piper and Phoebe turned into unlikeable characters and were hardly written as the vision of Connie, and more how Kern, Alyssa, and Holly saw them.

Funny how I can't say the same for the Phpene who did that for a living in S5-S8. All three have amazing chemistry in S1 and S2.
