As discussed in threads. I have started a thread for our first book - Leo Rising.
Hopefully this month's book goes well. I will create a poll or we can use the one for favorite books to decide our next book for next month. So we shall start our next book in a months time.
Note: Anyone can jump right in at any time. Even if we move onto a new book in future months. The threads can still be replied to always. So nobody should feel like they are missing out.
Just a few general questions I think we can use dears as a template for all book club's:
I look forward to seeing how our first one goes dears?

Firstly, it's been years since I've read this book, so I'll have to remember the best I can:
1. What was your first impression upon reading? Did the book improve or drop in quality as you got further?
I liked this book more than I thought I would. It's probably one of my top five of the last half of the entire Charmed book collection. I didn't think I was going to like it because I hadn't liked a lot of the books that came before it, and because Wyatt and Chris were prominent characters, but I did.
2. Did the book stay true to the characters from the TV series? Was the writing good by the author?
I thought the book was very well written, which isn't always the case with these books. Paul Ruditis was consistently one of the best authors of this series. His stories make sense not only within the context of the show and keeping true to it, but also in consistency of the stories and the rules of magic as well. He wrote another good one called The Brewing Storm that is about the elements and how they come together with magic, and it was very well done.
3. Favorite/Least Favorite characters in the book?
I don't think I'll ever like Wyatt and Chris. Those two just never got to me the way the others did. That said, if they had to be involved for the story to make sense, I liked the way Paul handled them. I remember enjoying their characters enough to where they didn't detract too much from the story for me.
As far as favorites, I have to say the sisters. I remember that they were written particularly well in this book. They were like how they were on the show, but more likable.
4. Favorite/Least Favorite moments from the book?
I liked the inclusion of Leo's old ex-charge, Xandra, and how she was a part of some magical black market. The idea of there being a somewhat dangerous magic market out there that you never knew if it was a good idea to go into or not was appealing. I would have much preferred something like this to Magic School.
5. And finally grade the book out of 5 stars and overall opinion of the book?
I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars, which I won't do for any other book that is in the last third or so of the entire Charmed book collection. Without Paul's writing, I'd give it a 3. When the time comes around, I'll be happy to read this book again.
