Out of only the starring cast during the entire 8 seasons, if you could recast any of them, who would it be?
So that would be;
Prue
Piper
Phoebe
Paige
Leo
Andy
Darryl
Jenny
Dan
Cole
Billie
Chris
Also if you recast, you can keep someone longer or less in the show?

If they casted someone else in the role as Andy - he might have actually stayed on longer, since this would mean dears that unlike Ted, this actor might have stayed on. But I wouldn't recast any of the sisters - all of them did well and no way I would change a thing. Maybe Paige could be casted with someone else - but more on that later dears.
The casting for Cole and Darryl I would keep as it is.

I'd probably recast Billie too as I don't really like Kaley Cuoco's acting. I'm not sure who I'd put in her role though. Maybe Anna Paquin!

Like you, someone else to play Andy, someone who would want to stay for the entire series so that Leo would remain in Season One where he belongs, but I'm not sure who. Although with the chemistry between Julian & Shannen and Neil Roberts (Rex) & Alyssa, Julian playing Andy and Neil playing Cole would've done me just fine, especially if Cole was only part of Season Three. I don't think anyone could play Cole in S4 & S5 as well as Julian did - for me, one of the few good things about those seasons outside of Paige in Season 4 and Piper in Season 5 (not counting 'Oh, My Goddess!', which I count as part of Season 6). I'd want the two who play the brothers in "Supernatural" to play Wyatt and Chris...they can act! Of course, that would only happen if Leo has to be part of every season. If that's the case, I'd also want someone who could act to play him; I'm just not sure who. Brian in just Season One is fine. If we had to have Season 4-8, I'd want Jennifer Love Hewitt to play Paige the way she played Melinda in "Ghost Whisperer". No quirky ditzy Valley Girls for me, please. If we had to have S7 and S8, I'd want Kaley to play Kyra and Charisma Carpenter to play Billie. Just those changes would've made the show much better for me, although ending it with 'All Hell Breaks Loose' would've really done that for me. |

My friend and I were talking about this the other week about who would we have selected to play the roles of the Charmed Cast but we could only come up with actors and actresses that wouldn't have been famous yet or barely famous at the stage of Charmed but before I give you my recast, I would just like to ask:
Would that be okay if I was to tell you what actors and actresses we have chosen?
I am only asking since they wouldn't have reached their peak at that particular stage and I don't want to anger people bt having the cast not be what they would select.

I love Andy and not switching out T.W. and wished he was around longer. Which would make more sense, in my thought process in utilizing less Darryl.
I would say only have Darryl for S1, S3 & S7. So, less Darryl. I wouldn't want to change the actor.
If we're keeping Greg Vaughn as Dan, for the duration that he appeared in, then I would've preferred he'd hook up with Phoebe, instead. If we're keeping Greg Vaughn as Dan, but I can lower the duration he appeared, then I would prefer him to not date any of the sisters and disappear with Jenny, after she left, and we don't see him. If he HAS to date somebody, I still prefer Phoebe, Piper would be OK, as long as it doesn't take up the WHOLE freaking season! Like, Dan leaves as soon as Jenny does!
If we're changing the actor of Dan then maybe I'll tolerate Aaron Eckhart, who can hold better chemistry with Holly than Greg, I hope. Even then, the idea and concept of Dan is silly and a waste of time, but I digress.
No Cole in S5! So, "less" Cole (but mostly, no S5). I would want somebody who looks younger/fresher when standing next to Phoebe. I love Julian and everything, but I can tell he a little old, for her LOL Maybe change Julian out for Jared Leto, maybe?
I like Kaley Cuoco and everything, and I like Billie, but if I had to switch out her actress...I always loved Eliza Dushku. Nothing against blondes, I just like my dark haired chicks ;P

I'd love another actor playing Andy, especially one who might never have left. Meaning Andy sticks around into S2. I remember reading that Brian Krause and Kerr Smith (Brody) originally tried out for the role of Andy Trudeau. Like Esmeralda above. Julian playing Andy and Neil playing Cole would've been fine with me, especially if Cole was only part of Season Three. The way I wish Brain was only part of S1. |

One of the actresses I could see being on Charmed is Megan Fox, I could see her playing Phoebe Halliwell, she was amazing in Jennifer's Body.
EDIT:
Obviously if the show was released in the late 2000s however I could see her playing Phoebe's and Cole's daughter, she would be an amazing demon or witch.

Even though I love Alyssa Milano playing Phoebe at the beginning and the dynamic with the original three - I would have recasted her with someone that Shannen and Holly were really good friends with.
That way I don't think there would have been the fighting or competition on the set and it would have been clear that it was Shannen Doherty's show.

I know she is friends with Sarah Michelle Gellar however she is Buffy Summers and will always be her, so maybe Salma could have played Phoebe? We could have had a Buffy X Charmed crossover possibly if it was going to be classified as Shannen Doherty's show. |
