I wouldn't recommend it to my friends, but then again maybe some people might like it. I certainly don't. Here is what the show is about taken from Wikipedia. Ohhhh, that sounds awful. What a shame, because there aren't enough Jewish characters on TV. But being mentally ill myself, and knowing how mental illness is portrayed in shows like this one sounds to be . . . ugh. No need to further stigmatize and spread misinformation about mental illness. I know how you feel. I always hate when a show or movie doesn't portray something correctly, or spreads misinformation or does it in a cliche way or a bad way. With my line of work and traveling a lot, I interact with many different people. So I get so offended when they don't do proper research first with different cultures, people and representing. Especially thinking about the audience first, and that it might offend some people. It's too bad we don't have enough Jewish characters on television.

And as a writer it is so important to be open-minded, do research, and be careful with how one represents certain groups. Off the top of my head, the only Jewish characters on television of whom I can think are Willow Rosenberg from BtVS and some cartoon characters.

If I were these writers, I'd want to contact someone who works or is apart of these groups to get my facts right. Get their opinions, so to be careful about one represents certain groups. I think your right. I also remember someone on that Big Bang Theory show was Jewish, but I can't remember. I only saw an episode or two of that show.

I have seen so many stereotypical representations of autistic characters and I'm exhausted by it. That's honestly part of the reason why I've written several original stories with autistic main characters. Howard is the Jewish character, along with his unseen mother. I've seen that show at least three times now between when my mom was hooked with it and now my roommates bingeing it for the past couple of months while we eat dinner together every night.

It really just upsets me, much like Charmed was many times when it came to different cultures. I'm so sorry you have to put up with this on television. I'm glad that this inspired you to write original stories with autistic main characters right. So it was on Big Bang Theory. I was right. I only checked it out because I remember Kaley from Charmed, which is what got to see she is far better at comedy than drama. Her talents shine here.

Yeah, Charmed could get pretty dang bad about that. Yep, I figure that if I don't see what I want in television or books, I might as well create what it is that I want to see. She absolutely is, and I think she fits in with the cast there more than she does on Charmed, just from the vibes I get.

I can see why many find writing stories of fanfiction would just make many happier than what they don't want to see on television or books. I felt the same way. Her talents are better in comedy.

I attempted my first fanfiction writing last year, very nervous and was surprised how well it turned out. Does need some improving, but of course, Real Life gets in the way of me writing more.

Funny thing is that I write fanfiction more when real life stuff is going on, so long as there isn't too much life going on. But yeah, there aren't nearly as many flamers criticizing fanfiction as people think there are; I've had annoying experiences with some people demanding that I update all of the time, but no actual hate in all the years I've written and uploaded fanfiction. Which series did you write for?

I wrote an entry for the fanfiction contest last year based on an alternate version of Morality Bites with a different sister burning, but I need to update it and fix things.

There was one Morality Bites alternate version I read on here which I enjoyed quite a bit where a different sister burned, I just don't remember the details.

Might it have been in here?

I didn't think anything would literally bring me close to crying with regret for watching it. Netflix's movie 'The Open House' proved otherwise. It rightly deserves the 3.3 out of 10 rating on IMDB. Other regrets. Annihilation movie. Not because it was a bad movie. I love it to pieces despite its flaws I again made the mistake of thinking it would be totally okay to watch a horror movie at midnight. With a power cut. And thunderstorm outside. I saw the names Tessa Thompson from Thor: Ragnarok and Jane the Virgin's Gina Rodriguez and any hesitation flew out the window. Two actresses I only know as comedic. Especially one from a show whose creators are now making the Charmed Reboot. How scary could it be? Jane the Virgin...well...Anya The Paramedic was being comedic and flirty stuff at the beginning and then..well there were lots of then, but the bear scene was just....wow. Terrifying wow which left me sleep deprived I don't know why they released the movie in cinemas and Netflix at the same time. Is that a normal thing? Can I expect to watch Avengers: Infinity War in April on Netflix too? Whatever it was thankful I got to see it. Still reeling. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Gina Rodriguez somehow ends up on the Charmed Reboot as a demon or innocent or just anything. She's like Holly, Shannen, Alyssa and Rose's best acting all wrapped in one. Sucks she has her own show. Otherwise she was perfect as one of the Charmed Ones.

The revival of "Will & Grace." People seem to love it, I think it's been renewed for two more seasons already. I tried the full first half of the season and bar a couple of episodes, I think it's been awful. Wish I'd trusted my instincts and left it at season 8.

We seem to have time-traveled back in time to the 90s. Roseanne is also back on the air now, and Full House has a spin-off Fuller House. The only popular comedies of the 90s left are Friends and Seinfeld? Bringing back programs from the 90s appears to be the new trend these days.

A lot of media does seem particularly nostalgia driven recently. All these 90's reboots as you say and also a ton of TV shows and movies set in the 80's.
