Hello all. After some talks about the opening theme and if it fitted the show or not in another thread, I decided to start a poll. For those who need to compare and make a decision. Below are links. Netflix/Some DVD's Versionm.youtube.com/watch?v=BqYRsE_2p-c Original Versionwww.youtube.com/watch?v=BHLnKJSKnO8So which theme do you think fitted the show better?

Actually I want a third option - a music-only version of the original.

Actually I want a third option - a music-only version of the original. What a great idea. If only.

Myself I'm not sure actually as I knew the original theme song first obviously because I grew with that when Charmed came on all those years ago and like it still till this day even if the song didn't fit the sisters and have heard the Netflix version also which I have on my phone that I thinks good to.
Viewability wise I'd use both themes for the era of television they fit in so years ago when you had the opening song and credits for most television shows I'd have stayed with the original song and now when you only have a short burst of music which flips through to the first scene and has the actors names rolling alingside that then the Netflix theme obviously.

The original theme is iconic, classic, suits the show perfectly in the early seasons, I wouldn't be without it. The Netflix theme is an abomination.

I really liked the song, well the full song. But I never really noticed the words using son in it. I was under the impression it was using the words sun and air in the lyrics. LOL

I do like both, but you can hear the Netflix/Amazon Prime version in S8's Intro, on the DvDs. And, are the DvD's (S1-S7) using a newer intro song that's not "Love Spit Love - How Soon is Now?"? I could've sworn, on my DvDs of S1-S7, they use Love Spit Love's "How Soon is Now?", while S8 shares the same theme song as the Netflix/Amazon Prime version, but I digress.
I voted for the "newer song" just because I feel like its Charmed's theme song, whereas "Love Spit Love - How Soon is Now?" isn't strictly Charmed's theme because its heard in "The Craft" movie, and I'm greedy. So, that's why I chose the other one. But, I still like both!

The theme song never fitted Charmed at all period. The Lyrics mention sons, not daughters. I prefer the Netflix version with no lyrics. But I'm with Esmeralda , with a third option - a music-only version of the original. By the way everyone I found the Instrumental version on Youtube. Another version or extended version or alternate version below:

But I'm with Esmeralda , with a third option - a music-only version of the original. By the way everyone I found the Instrumental version on Youtube. Another version or extended version or alternate versionI thought the lyrics were talking about "sun and air" and not "son and heir" LOL Other than those lyrics, I mentioned here, how the other set of lyrics do fit with the show! At least, the later seasons do LOL I actually think the theme song fits more with their later season counterparts. The lyrics: "You shut your mouth, how can you say, I go about things the wrong way, I am human and I need to be loved, just like everybody else does". Tell me that doesn't sound like the sisters, in the later seasons? LOL EDIT: Also, this is why I kind of like the S8 version more just because there's no lyrics, and it's like this weird electric guitar solo, I guess? I think it fits the magic theme, a little bit, and how "action-packed" the show can be. I do like your's (and Es's) idea of a "third option", however EDIT: Though, t.A.T.u. did do a cover of this song, and that's why I didn't think it was "son and heir" and thought it was "sun and air" LOL t.A.T.u.'s version isn't bad, though.
