Charmed: The Rewrite

Back in the shoutbox we got talking about some of the changes we didn't like, Warlocks not being more important, Andy not staying, The Source's mythology kept changing. I really hope Marie one of the people in the shoutbox returns, I really liked her idea's for how to keep Andy around. 

So I set out to start my own little rewrite.

Here is what I thought about in a rewrite:

• Each sister's power only grows, no additional powers or at least none that are not absolutely related to the original.
• Andy/Darryl team-up remains with Andy not dying. 
• Phoebe's degree and powers put to better use with a job.
• The Source mythology not seeing him killed. The Ruler of the Underworld is either a former Elder who got banished and started the underworld, like a fallen Angel. That or not even show him at all.
• Cole's story only being used for one season, and making him a big bad. 
• Using the Rowe Coven as a season arc.
• Leo did serve a purpose in season 1 and 2, but he never remains and he and Piper part ways. 
• Dr. Williams getting powers being a multiple episode arc or Abbey being a longer storyline.
  
• More mythology on Witches, and the sisters going deeper into spells and potions. The sisters keeping the knowledge they learnt in All Halliwell's Eve. 
• Without Leo healing, the sisters using other means to heal wounds done by demon attacks. Potions perhaps?
• Every season follows a storyline and every season wraps up an arc. So Cole would only stay as a one-season character. Leo would be gone after season 1 or early season 2. 
• The show primary focuses on the sisters navigating their lives. If we are introduced to a new main character or boyfriend, they do not steal the spotlight. 
• Also Warlocks being more central to the series mythology.
• Paige's hybrid powers never being a thing. Paige not even being related to Sam. Find another way of making her Patty's daughter, or Paige just gets Prue's powers with the only power orbing being obtained from her Whitelighter side. Because Whitelighters are dead, and Paige will not become one. Seeing as I have done away with Leo and he doesn't remain, this wouldn't be an issue. Maybe Patty had a child with a warlock (who she didn't know was one at the time). Rewrite Paige to being a long lost older sister, born before Prue?

I am very interested in seeing what you all think of these ideas? I am happy to have people disagree with me or give pointers.

So many ideas here I like dear. I hope you write a story on this or show us more on how you would handle Charmed being in charge.

I like Paige being the oldest sister...I'd love to see you write this. I do think you should keep the Piper/Leo storyline because I love their kids and their relationship was done well S1-S5 and then things just got repetitive.

I completely forgot about this thread. LOL but thanks for taking a look at it. I had planned on creating a rewrite with listing what I'd change, I just never got around to it. Most of the stuff listed came up in the shoutbox so very long ago. 

Might write something like this one time though, just not anytime soon.

I think it's cool that you wanted Paige as the oldest and now that's what they're doing with the reboot. I would've also preferred that, especially if her father was a warlock who had raped Patty, which is why Penny made her give Paige up.
