Between seasons 5 and 6, Alyssa got a haircut that was seemingly so bad she decided to just start again, I mean.....  She completely cut off one side and got tiny bangs   This really was bizarre and I'm glad she just decided to cut it all off by the time filming for S6 started  |

Plus she'd dyed and damaged her hair a number of times already since season 3 being another reason why Alyssa cut it all of.

You may know her as Aria Montgomery from Pretty Little Liars more interestingly.

Yeah, seasons 1 and 2 were the only time throughout the whole series Alyssa's hair was real and undamaged. What about season 6? Also I didn't notice till way after that the shade she went for the second half of s4, the first half of s5 and all of s8 wasn't her natural shade and was more reddish |

Her name's actually Melissa Hale, Hale being a play on the name surname Halliwell because she was adopted at birth like her cousins Patty Prue and Andy's daughter and Ben Cole and Phoebe's son when their parents the Charmed Ones were killed plus Leo and Andy but not Cole who survived actually.
I didn't know the actresses name at the time when I cast her as Mel or that her surname was Hale just that she had the look I wanted for her.

I think Rose McGowan turned up on the Charmed set start of season 5 sporting new red hair and a short haircut which the bosses didn't like not being informed beforehand and so had no choice but to put in the script that Paige blew up a potion which resulted in her new do and just accept it obviously.
