Yeah, I was rewatching the first half of season 1 and I remember thinking," just have leo heal you" and "why don't you just orb there" and then I remembered they didn't have Leo or Paige around to do that. That also made them rely on each other more since if one sister got hurt because another sister didn't do what they were supposed to or weren't there, they couldn't just yell Leo to come down and fix everything. I know they told Leo that the Charmed Ones weren't suppose to know about him but if it was because the Elders knew Piper and Leo would fall in love why did they assign him to them in the first place. I know Leo guided them by finding certain pages in the BOS in the earlier seasons but how was he expected to guide them later on if they weren't suppose to find out about him. He got a lot of his info from the Elders but how would he have relayed that information?

I agree that Leo should not have been able to heal everything. It does present the sisters as being more relatable if every little injury isn't magically dealt with. Maybe there could have been a restriction on Leo's powers and that of all whitelighters that they can only heal a certain amount in a certain time. So if a sister was extremely hurt, Leo could heal her, but it would then take a while for his powers to recharge. Perhaps after healing very extensive injuries, he could only heal minor ones for a few hours. Or if two sisters were badly hurt, he could only heal them halfway until his powers recharged, and then he could heal them the rest of the way. It puts a limit on their ability to do everything, and it might actually make me scared for them other than just knowing that Leo can heal anything and everything. All of this makes so much sense dear. I just feel the sisters took Leo for granted, and expected that nothing will happen to them because Leo can heal them. But death became a joke later dear, when each sister had a handful of deaths and resurrections season in and season out. He got a lot of his info from the Elders but how would he have relayed that information? And that is why the suspense and excitement in season 1 was so great dear. You are wondering if any of the sisters will make it out alive. Once Leo was around to heal them all the time, it lost its impact. But then again it wasn't always on Leo, each of the sisters died so often. Death meant nothing. But after Patty and Sam, I am surprised they didn't just give the sisters a female whitelighter dear. But I am talking in the context dears of the show, not behind the scenes and when they decided Leo would stay and whitelighters wouldn't be only a guide for first year witches.

A lot of the stuff Leo did in seasons 1 & 2 as a whitelighter were contrary to things he did in later seasons. Like I remember in P3H2O Leo wouldn't heal Piper's poison ivy infection when she asked him to. He said he could only heal her if the elders allowed him to. Which we know that never stopped him. But on the other hand he may have refused to heal Piper that time on purpose because of her being with Dan at the time. Right? I totally agree, actually LOL It would help keep the "continuity", in check. But, Leo is usually finding some "loophole" around the Elders, one way or another. In P3 H20, he "healed" Piper in some spiritual plane or something. I choose to believe it's a place the Elder's can't stop him from healing Piper.
