Rewriting Season 4 with Shannen leaving gracefully

So between season 3 and 4, the decision to fire Shannen didn't happen. But in this instance, Shannen is allowed to exit gracefully. Meaning she will be back in season 4 for Charmed Again part 1 and 2, but by the end of the 2 hours she will have been written off. Shannen still is credited as a regular in the 2-hours, and Rose wouldn't be credited until episode 3. With the option that Shannen will return to the series for guest appearances, maybe direct and her photo and image can be used.

So how would you rewrite season 4 with the idea that Prue's character gets a proper send-off. Also how would you use her going forward in the season and series if she can be used.

I would've loved it if they had the three originals star during both parts of 'Charmed Again' with Rose just as a guest star, with her credited as a regular starting with the third episode.

And what to do with those two episodes is easy for me. I'd want it to be more like ShiningAllure's fantastic fan-made video series: "The Story of The Death of Prue":







As for later on, of course I'd want her to be part of flashbacks whenever possible and I'd often want Piper to summon her to ask Prue what she'd do so she could do it, letting Prue remain the Oldest, Piper the Middle and Heart, Phoebe the Baby, and Paige the Only Child she should've been.

Oh, yes, I would've loved Cat House to be something like this:



And, of course, I'd want the series to end with something like this:



Although there was once a beautiful version that included a picture of Shannen and Rose from the movie 'Heather', a picture of Prue with Andy at the park and after the picture of the second set, showed the iconic shot that Grams took before she died, and then after the other kids came in, Prue orbed in, exchanged grins with her grandniece before closing the door herself.  Don't know why Youtube took it down, but I can't find it.  But it's what I would've wanted to see.

Season 4 would start with Prue, Phoebe and Piper still having to deal with finding and vanquishing Shax. But they find out this time he's now after Paige. Paige becomes their innocent. The three find out after an episode or two who Paige is to them. Through Cole's investigation like before. But they don't understand why the Source wants Paige dead so badly if the power of 3 still exists. Phoebe then eventually gets a premonition off of Paige showing Shax killing her. And she also sees Prue dying in the process while trying to save paige. So both end up dying. That's the same vision the Source got from his Oracle. Eventually they figure out a way to not have both Paige and Prue die but one person still has too. And the sisters don't know what to do. But Prue, not being willing to let her new baby sister die, ends up sacrificing herself for Paige, knowing that the power of 3 will still live on.

Going forward. Let their be occasional flashbacks of her from previous episodes. Or do things that show prues presence. Like being the one to flip the pages of the book all the time for them. Phoebe or Piper would often call out to prue for a little help or advice is she had any and she'd flip the pages. And eventually have a couple of guest appearances where they summon prue like grams. Would be nice to see an episode where summoned prue would sit Paige down and convince Paige she doesn't have to try and live up to her. That she should be her own person.

Centennial Charmed - Paige time travels to an alternate timeline where she get's to meet Prue. Naturally getting a chance to meet Prue for the first time, and getting to brag to her sisters about her wonderful big sister, when time gets put back right.

Cat House - In addition to Prue appearing in the time travel aspects. I would have a nice little cameo, around the same time of Pre Witched. While Phoebe goes into the bathroom, Paige walks and sees Prue. A part of her wishes to just walk right into her bedroom and talk to her, but decides against it.

Something Wicca This Way Goes? - Prue cameo at the end of the season closing the door.

Forever Charmed - When Piper time travels she finds Prue. Maybe a version of the power of three during the first three seasons for old times sack.

Not episode specific, but an episode with a flashback during season 2 or 3. When the sisters think of something the sisters did previously when Prue was alive, that helps them vanquish a demon.

I agree with you for sure. Definitely better than Piper, Grams and Patty. No offence, but that was the worst thing written. Three Generations of Halliwell's does not make up the Power of Three. Now that might work if the Charmed Ones was suppose to be three different generations, but talk about not knowing your own canon. Impossible. 

If Piper had found a past version of Prue and Phoebe sometime in the first three seasons. Could she take Prue and Phoebe during the month she was away with Leo up in the Heavens. That might be the ideal way for Piper to get the power of three to fix things. Wow, what a neat way of showcasing your original trio for old times sack.

Soul survivor. Paige is dying and sees Prue like her sister saw their mother in fear to eternity. When Phoebe has the premonition of the losses we see Prue. Another would be Prue coming back in season six smiling as her family welcomed Chris or during the wiccaning.

Prue can't be part of the wiccaning, just like Patty can't - neither are Halliwell (actually Warren...) matriarchs.
