I like both ideas. I think Paige being their sister who happens to be their whitelighter would have been amazing, it would definitely be huge for female empowerment. Leaving Leo and Cole to have a "bromance" type of friendship with telling stories about the past and them being able to relate to each other. I also like the idea of Paige being either Phoebe's daughter from the future to make sure that her dark future doesn't happen especially with the modern day witch trials would have been an amazing angle to take. Either one of the ideas could have been an amazing alternative storyline to take, both of them would have amazing storylines and awesome results. Me too. I certainly love those two ideas as an alternate storyline. If Prue didn't die and the original power of three remained. Paige being the sisters new whitelighter would be interesting. Especially if she became a full whitelighter after dying in the car accident that killed her parents. But maybe she's slightly older when she died. Always surprised me they didn't go with a female whitelighter for female empowerment and make the show more female centric. Surprises me too. Especially when female empowerment was a huge thing for the series. Paige being their sister who happens to be their white-lighter would have been amazing, her being resurrected as a full white-lighter after the car accident would have been amazing as well, especially if she knew that she was a white-lighter before the sisters knew they were witches would have been another angle that they could have used, even though she is younger she is more knowledgeable than them would be a great storyline, especially for Prue.

Yeah, I always thought they'd have more female characters for a show about female empowerment. Billie was the first regular outside of the sisters, I don't count Jenny who was in four episodes. I love the idea that she already knows who they are. It would be a great storyline especially for Prue. It would shake things up and let us have the original set of Charmed Ones but still have a new sister.

Agreed, I would have loved for them to show more female characters, I loved Kyra but of course they had to kill her off, anyone the sisters could have been friends with were either killed off or written off and it's a shame, even if you had budget cuts, you could still mention them by name. It would be a good back and forth for Prue and Paige both of them being knowledgeable could have definitely brought on a new sisterly relationship, with Paige challenging Prue's decisions.

I'd have loved to have seen Kyra stick around as an ex demon trying to be human, and she'd like a wonderful addition to the regular cast for the remainder of the series. Yeah, the show showed them having so many friends, but they continued to change episode to episode. Sheila I never counted as a real friend, as she was the only female character sorta friend they knew who was in more than one episode or season. That would bring lots more interesting energy and plotlines with Paige as the whitelighter for the sisters, and challenging Prue's decisions. Do you think Paige would still have her social worker job as a cover like Leo as a handyman or would Phoebe just become a social worker in S4, than joining the Bay Mirror?

I think Kyra being there versus the Jenkins' sisters would have been a better plot as well. I believed if they were able to have friends then they wouldn't complain so much about having a normal life, they just needed to be able to speak freely about what was happening versus censoring themselves. I would have kept Paige as a Social Worker, it would have provided an excellent cover as well as a way to gain information legally without having to break into anything, it also would have kept Paige being independent and not so reliant on her sisters, she would be the baby sister however she would have been the most knowledgeable which would have been great.

I couldn't agree more with Kyra, she'd be way better than the Jenkins' sisters. I agree, I really think that would have been perfect for them to have friends like that. It's too bad, if they wanted to make the show more female empowerment, maybe they could have made Andy a female character and cop, and their female childhood friend and had that friend as an ally throughout the show. I really loved that aspect of Andy as their childhood friend who is not just Prue's love interest (even Leo was more Piper's love interest than their honorary brother, he did have nice chemistry with Phoebe and Paige, but with Prue, its like they were only close in association to Piper), it's just too bad he was killed off after one season. I loved Darryl, but they barely did much with him, and without Andy, Darryl's screentime kept being reduced. He felt more like a recurring character than a regular, even if his name was in the credits. I love Paige as a social worker, and do agree it fits as a cover, and suits her even a whitelighter wanting to help charges, it fits to use this as a cover. I also love her being more independent and not relying her sisters so much.

I like the idea of Prue's childhood friend being involved with the sisters without the whole love interest element, I think that maybe Inspector Blakely should have been Prue's female friend from middle school who she reunites with in The Power of Two that would have been great for diversity as well as a close family friend to the Halliwell's, with her being the one they turn to for legal help later when Paige is introduced, Paige could work with Blakely to help with cases.

I really like everyone's ideas of including more women in the show, especially as friends for the sisters. They said a few times throughout the show that it was nice to have each other since they all had the witch thing in common, but I could see it being really healthy for them to have good friends who weren't also witches and who they weren't related to.
I so wish they had kept Kyra. She had great chemistry with them and was so much fun. It would have been really fun to see her making the transition from demon to human, although in a much different way than Cole ever did, being more lighthearted about it.
I especially like the idea of changing Andy to a woman who was a childhood friend of the sisters. We got to see Andy protecting them, especially Prue, because of their history but also because I think he was still in love with her on some level. It would have been really sweet to see a platonic female friend doing all that and exploring that situation more from the angle of a strong friendship. Especially at the end of season 1, it would have been a nice way to round out the season, it having started with the idea of blood-related sisters and ending with showing the bond of people who aren't related but are like sisters.

Me too. Totally love the idea of Andy as a woman and a childhood friend of the sisters. It would let the show be female-centric just as much as sisterly centric.
A way to keep the show about female empowerment.
I love Kyra as an ex Demon trying so hard to be human, in a different way than Cole.

Me too. Great idea you have too, I love that being a way for diversity by using her as the close friend of the Halliwell. I do like Paige working to help Blakey on cases. I loved when her and Darryl teamed up in S4. I really like everyone's ideas of including more women in the show, especially as friends for the sisters. I really think having a relationship with a platonic female friend would be an asset to the show, and showing strong female friendships. With this female childhood friend just taking all of Darryl's role (minus his S6-S7) remain a co-star for the whole series. I love starting with blood-related sisters and ending with a bond of people who aren't related but are like sisters. I don't mind, if none of the sisters had a love interest who was a regular in S1, and they left that for S2. Maybe its just Piper who has the only love story in S1 but Leo is a guest star like he was in canon S1, or maybe the female Andy has a partner too, but this one turns out to be the big bad of the season. So maybe the female Andy's partner is just Rodriguez.
